I purchased this helmet because it had a lot of good information on the helmet. The Bluetooth, Speakers and microphone can easily be installed in the helmet. The ease in lifting the face mask and the modular part of the helmet. I liked the vents and they are easy to open and close. The foam padding inside the helmet is great. It is a little tight from the forehead to the back side of my head but I think that will get better after I ride the motorcycle more. I do like the sun shield, it works very well. I've owned 2 other HJC helmets in the past and I've never had any issues with either of them.
I'm short, ~30ish inseam. The 76mm mount just isn't quite long enough. It would be nice if they had a 114mm option as well. Sadly, looks like I'm going to need a machine shop to make me something. That being said, the quality of the product is Good, and matches up nicely with the Paladin comfort bars...
Performance of these lights is outstanding! The LED driving lights provide great visibility for everyday riding, and the fog light/DRL combination provide that extra measure of visibility in fog and rain. The written installation instructions are sketchy at best. I used YouTube videos to insure panel and console disassembly to avoid breakage. I highly recommend using the Helibars and Electrical Connection YouTube videos to use the shortcut to access the console and minimize body disassembly.
The right side phone holder was what I expected and works as I expected it to. Can’t ask for much more than that. Installation was easy and I have confidence in my phone staying right where I put it.
Nice to have the extra footprint and it installed in seconds.
The saddle bag liners fit great. The trunk liner is a little smaller than the 21+ trunks but that will leave a little room for items on the side. I’m looking forward to trying these on an upcoming trip.
Not easy to put on but worth it. Look and feel great.
I bought these floor boards for my 2015 GL1800. They installed great and looked even better! However!, after about 6 months I was using them to step off my wing and the rubber top came completely off falling on the ground. As far as I and about 6 other people tried, there is no way to put it back on. the little rubber tips cannot get put back into the holes. (8 of them). I am sadly disappointed!
Yes, I bought the 3 piece carpet set for my Gold Wing Tour. Yaaa, not happy with it. With all the stuff I bought in the past for my Wing, everything fit perfectly, I was expecting the same for the carpet. It doesn't fit as well as it could. :( Not the end of the world. I made my own to fit. Safe riding to you all. Keep smiling 😊
When I look where the holes are located on the adapter pieces, it makes no sense where the handle bars end up! Ultimately, whatever witch craft was used to design these, they are a magical welcome to my riding comfort. Absolutely amazing product. And watching Fred's installation video is a must before you attempt. Took about 40 minutes to install which included adjusting the length of both brake and clutch lines and cutting the trim cover piece. The bars come in and closer together and the handling went from "Beach bar" width to sport bike width. Not sure if that makes sense but turning the bars feels different now. Not in a bad way. In a 'I'll have to get used to this now' way. My arms, hands, shoulders and neck all feel comfortable with these. I'd would highly recommend this item if you fatigue or get uncomfortable after 1 or 2 hours of straight riding.
I read what others said and found that the brackets fitted, but the hitch plate face was very poorly aligned with the mounting tabs , requiring cutting and welding. However there is a far more serious issue; WHO DESIGNED THIS THING? Vertical (downward) tongue weight forces (often quoted as 10% of gross trailer weight- more if a mono wheel trailer) are simply not addressed, except by the two M6 bolts which fit into little threaded blocks on the subframe. Remember that this weight is multiplied over bumps. The locating holes, far oversized for ease of locating, will allow movement under load, chattering and rapid wear to the inadequate bolts. The only way I could use this hitch was to add my own 45 degree brackets up to the frame under the seat. This took quite a while (similar idea as Rivco hitch), which is well up to the job. It remains to be seen as to whether my mod will provide the vertical strength required. BEWARE OF THIS PRODUCT. Trailers can really spoil your day if the hitch is poor.
I found the shims did not have enough material to be of any benefit to me. They did help a bit but not enough to make a difference. I believe they needed to be thicker and have a greater degree of angle to place the bars where I needed them. It cost me $ 121.00 Canadian dollars, $ 86.00 American including shipping for something that didn’t work and you can guarantee I won’t get a refund from WingStuff because I don't have the original packaging they came in. Very expensive lesson ! I finally decided to spend my money where it would make my riding as pleasant as on my 1997 gl1500SE and purchased the Heli Horizon Adjustable Handlebars directly from HeliBars for my 2006 gl1800HPNA.
