Just finished installing these. Let me say, they'll hurt your eyeballs if you look directly in them. I'll have to do a night run, for a true darkness test. As for the quality of the item, it's very nice. Nice machine work, well thought out. The install was really straight forward although I was missing a couple of pieces and a quick call to E/C and they're on the way to me. I substituted the missing pieces 'till I get them. They even give you a cool little soldering gun in the kit for "Burning" holes in the gussets for spring retension. Once you do the install, they're perfectly centered in the opening of the cowl. You can aim them up or down for slight adjustment if need, right from the front of the bike. As far as the kit, and quality and customer service, I'd do it again in a heart beat. Scott |
| I did not install them myself. had it done by a pro. I love the look as with most Kuryakan stuff. Had a hard time finding a position that allowed me to place my feet on them unless legs are still bent, but I can extend my leg over them pretty comfortably and it helps. Afterall, if you have long legs, the Wing does not allow for a long comfortable ride unless you can move your legs around and change positions occasionally. these allow that, so I gave them 4 Stars |
| UPDATE: Two things to add since my review on the F4 +4 below. 1) Got caught in a drizzle a few days ago and glad to report that the rain water just beaded up and rolled off as advertised. 2) Wrote to F4 Customs in regard to the small scratches in the upper left corner of the windshield and if there was any way to remove them or polish them out. Dave, one of the sons and VP of the company got back to me on the same day stating that there is a glass coating on the windshield and the scratches cannot be removed. He offered complete replacement of the windshield at no charge or a fair rebate on the current windshield. As the scratches were out of the way and a minor annoyance only not detracting from the visibility to any degree, I decided that it was worth the compensation for the imperfections over removal and re-install of another windshield. Dave went on further to say that if I ever had any concerns or problems with the F4 to contact him for follow up. I have to say that F4 Customs has great customer service and I would recommend their product and their service. |
| Just installed the windshield and it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I took about 45 min to an hour to do the install. I think watching the install video on YouTube several times before changing the windshield made a big difference. After installing I sat on the bike and could immediately see the difference. Planning on trying it out on the road this weekend and I will post my results after my ride. |
| Received this product last week and installed in under 20 minutes total. The installation instructions were right on point and easy to follow. They work as advertised and I highly recommend them if you do a lot of riding in cold weather. The stops that were added are also a nice touch. Keeps the wings from being pushed around too far by strong gusts of wind from trucks and the like. |
| What a wealth of information. If it's on the bike, it's in the book. For those wondering, it does have info in there for post-2008 models. The airbag and XM radio stuff is in there as well. Not sure how in-depth those parts are, 'cause I won't need them. But it is in there. Ride safe. |
| Agree with other reviewers. Unit is compact, but adequate. I like that it has the power cords to hook it up however you like. That makes it even more portable. Mine'll be used with the battery tender plug that's already installed. |
| I give it 5 stars just because of the idea of it. I hope I never need it. After reading the instructions, it looks like a very good repair kit. It is built heavier than I expected. Will update further if need be. Ride safe. |
| Received 2 of these for both my wife's and I's HJC CL-31 matching helmets. Both were outfited with JMHSBCD279UNHO HSBCD279UN J&M Helmet Headset. I agree with previous authors, connecting to bike terminal takes time. Rubber boot seems to bunch up when trying to connect. I know my wife will have problems with it and I to will need to connect for her. Hopefully they will work themselves to fit better with more use. So only give these 4 stars. Other than that, I am happy with them. Thanks Wingstuff. |
| Received 2 of these today along with 2 JMHCPB J&M P-Style Lower Hook-Up Cords. Wife and I purchased matching HJC CL-31 half helmets. Speakers fit perfect without modifications needed in this helmet. Take you time inserting the excess wires into the body of the helmet. Bottom five pin connector to the bike seemed difficult to attach. Rubber cover seemed to bunch up when putting it on, but I think with time it will work itself in without further issues. Wife was at work so I put her helmet on my 6yr old (she so cute), played her favorite song and she was off singing away.Ha. Sound quality really good and over all very comfortable. Have not installed CB as of yet but hope these will work just as well as the other models I have read/heard which had some issues. Over all, Very happy with them. Thanks Wingstuff!! |

| Good quality, easy install but still find the short arms too long placed in any position for my leg length (36" inseam). I like to stretch out on a long ride. Went from the 6" to the 4.5" on my highway boards. Will be ordering the mini arms. Wish I would have seen these before ordering the 4.5"ers. It all comes down to personal style of riding. |
