I installed this loom when I mounted the trailer hitch and hitch wiring. You can't have too much light on the front or rear of a motorcycle so the 4 wheelers can see you. With the trailer behind the upper turn signals show up just fine. It was a little tricky getting all the wiring stuffed in behind the lights.
I love these grips. They give you a firmer feel on the handlebars than the stock grips and are a must have if you ride a lot. They installed very easily with a couple drops of dish soap inside the grip and then just twisted them on. I ride without gloves and haven't had any stains come off the grips after riding over 5 months with them.
Easy install less than 2 hrs to install, the downloaded instructions were very helpful especially the pictures, the only comments I would add are, on my 2002 Goldwing I didn't loosen the mufflers as called out in the instructions, the forward hitch arms (with some slight outward prying of the side bag mounts) slid into there location. I Had to Grind a little off the 2 lower H bolts with a cutoff wheel because the bolts from the kit chafed on the rear plastic center fender. A very solid install. I pulled my trailer for the first time last week and everything tracks straight.
Must have for replacements-Good assortment of grommets for the GL1800 and good quality.
Fits perfect quick and easy to put on well worth the money
A must for the DIY & gearheads, like me. Very detailed info about all systems & chassis w/ pictorals & diagrams. The eletrical diagrams & trouble shooting section are A-1!
UPdated review after 3k mi. THe chrome plating is beginning ot peel at the foot 'edges', likely from scraping of rocks, etc. Quality plating jobs should not peel under normal use or mild abrasion- EVER!! So must downgrade my rating of their product.

OK, this was a wild shot but I put them on my Can-Am Spyder RT, lost some religion on the Throttle side and then added the Kewlmetal helmet locks. Will order a new sleeve for the throttle side incase I ever have to remove them, but it looks great. I can e-mail a picture if somebody wants to see how it looks on a Can-Am Spyder RT (they have heated grips) |
Ordered one for the driver (me) and the passenger one. Only had time to put on one so mama comes first. She absolutely loves it, will mount mine soon. The cup stays in the holder well and no spillage due to bumps and the likes.
This cover makes a good dust cover. First time I used the cover it rained and my seat was wet the next morning. The whole bike wasn't wet, just some areas.
Added these when I mounted my new 'Stones. Thought I would give it a try. After watching the videos it sounded like snake oil. But it is not. Ride is now very smooth to about 70mph (so far). Vast improvement, but then the old tire was heavily cupped and past due. Used my Slime compressor to vibrate the tube to get the beads to go in. After one figures out the where to hold the vibration source and the angle of the tube, it is interesting to watch the beads go in. Only down side I can see is that one can not use a emergency sealer with them. And getting them in the tire thru the valve stem might be tough if one has inside the tire TPMS sensors. Don't ever see going back to old-fashioned stick-on weights again.
Easy to install. Took about 15 minutes. Quieted the trunk about 80% of what it was. Hard to tell on the chafing because there is so much already. Definitely made it harder to close the trunk and the remote opener does not work because of the tension. Reading other reviews lends me to believe that they will "break in" and become easier to close. I will give them another review after long term use.
