The arm rests look great with the bike; well integrated without overtaking the passenger's ability to get off/on the bike. The instructions are horrible though. The make no mention of the process on how to remove the existing arm pad from the speaker housing. Otherwise straight forward install...
I installed all three balancers on my 08 Wing along with a brand new set of Avon Cobra's. Prior to the change, I was able to do up to 230 KmPH without any noticeable balance problems. Now at about 160 KmPH I get a very noticeable vibration to the point where I don't want to go any faster. Under these kinds of speeds it is dead smooth. So, the tires or the balancers? I am giving Centramatic the benefit of the doubt as I have read of several folks having trouble with the Cobra's.......
I have had this on my bike for about three years and it works great! I was a bit concerned about the pole lifting out of the mount at speed, but after wrapping a bungee cord around it just below the flag and hooking it to the helmet locks I had no more concerns and have not had any problems. Also, Terri said it wouldn't fit on her hitch because of the width; I wonder if she tried mounting it upside-down just under the ball?
I purchased this about two years ago, and I've used it twice on bikes other than mine. Both times we were out on fairly long rides and it worked great. Don't forget to get the slime mini pump.
Works great for me. I have mine set up so it flashes the spoiler light only right now. I plan to add the two unused lights on the trunk (they only operate as running lights from Honda) once I get the pins in to add a wire to the connector. For those of you having problems, make sure you read the max capacity on this. If your using regular bulbs and trying to power all the rear lights on the wing your likely overloading this past the 10 amp max. Pick which lights you want and use only them. The spoiler light is controlled by the green/red wire in the grey connector just in front of the relay box under the seat. It involves cutting a wire to run this in series with the lights but you can use connectors that will allow you to remove this and just plug the original wires back together if your state inspection rules prevent you from running this or if you ever feel like you may need to bypass this.
YEA 4 STARS-GREAT IDEA AGAIN- REMOVING THE DEBRIS FROM THE ,INSIDES OF THE ENGINE, DO WISH THE HEAD OF THE BOLT COULD HAVE BEEN THE SAME SIDES AS THE FACTORY BOLT (OF COURSE) SMILE, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE USER FRIENDLY, I GUESS YOU REALLY CAN'T HAVE YOUR CAKE & EAT IT TOO , SO AGAIN A GREAT IDEA- GO GET SOME. LET IT LAST A LONG TIME !!!!!!!!!
Very nice product. Slid right on and was set tight with a single blow with a small hammer. The set screw assures that it will not loosen up and fall off. I didn't have any problems with it hitting my heel. The instructions state there could be differences between the OEM kickstand and some filinf maybe needed. I didn't need to make any modifcations at all. I also liked the heavy duty weight and material it is made of. I highly recommend this, beats looking for pop can or some other alternative.
I have had this for 4 months and some of the lights have gone out. I thought the little led bulbs were suppost to last longer then most lights. The worse of it all now its clued to my front hood so to speak. I will contact WS next to see what they will do about it. I have never had a problem with Wing stuff so far. I selected 3 stars because I now have to remove it and I am not sure how to with it being glued to my chrome hood. Not happy.
Purchase the Kuryakyn GL1800 Gold Wing Ergo II Highway Pegs instead of these pegs. The foot rest on these “pegs” are too large! You can’t get comfortable with them. I have never been in stirrups in a Doctor’s Office, but I think this is what it would be like with these pegs. Plus these flat things look stupid on your bike. From the back, it looks like you have training wheels. Get the Ergo II pegs instead and you won’t go wrong.
Bought these lights in early April, did not receive them until late June. Installation instruction needs some work. The lights are OK. Installed with chrome cowl, in about 3-1/2 hours.
i have about 12000 miles on these and they feel like new and show hardly any wear. Sure I will get 20000 or more miles on these. My oem dunnies gave me 18000 but were severely cupped. Tried Avon but got 20000 but was cupped bad and down to the cords. Had thought about Bridgestone next but way these feel and are holding up will buy these again this fall. I ride the desert southwest everyday these are the best so far I have tried on my wing.
ok....first things first. These do not direct COOLER air towards you unless you have an air conditioner mounted on your bike. These direct AIR towards you which feels like a strong breeze. That being said I had the duals until I got tired of fixing the one my knee kept hitting and cracking. I am long legged and probably clumsy so that combination did not help. I then opted for the Mirror mounted wings and they work just as well and my kneed does not even come close. Plus I think they look better.
