| I did the install myself, if you can take a wheel off you can install them your self,I installed with a new set of tires without balancing then went on a 1500 mile trip the ride was smooth as glass, I'm not sure about long term tire wear.the down sides are price and you can hear the beads swishing at very low speeds yes they sound like beads not ball bearings like the demo shows but they work very well |
| Bought it in July 2011, mounted it and made a trip to Florida. 3000 miles later, no fraying or anything else. Looks like it is still new and I went through some winds and rain for about 250 miles in Florida. I am very pleased with this flag! |
| I had the passenger cup holder and decided to get the drivers cup holder. Was glad that I did. Used it on a trip to Florida in July and it worked perfect. Does not swivel, but holds any drink pretty much upright. Holds a 32 OZ cup or up to a liter bottle of water. Mounted it on the right side. Reading reviews, I was worried that it would block access to the dash, but it was no problem. The passenger cup holder works beautiful too. Don't understand why people say that it touches the saddle bag. Mine doesn't and the wife is happy with it. |
| very nice, makes riding on a 100 plus day a lot more tollerable, I bought 6 of them, keep a few in the bottom of my ice chest, swap about every hour. i just tuck the ends into my shirt. you do need to thourghly wash them before you use them. |
| I installed this about 3 months ago and took about 3 hours to do so with wiring the harness included. I did take my time and the biggest span of time was deciding how I was going to do the cut-out. Used a Roto Zip and detailed with an razor knife. It looks great. I do leave the hitch in as it is an exercise to get on my back to install/remove the hitch. Do get the 6" drop (my next purchase). I took my Kwik Kamp on a road trip through the AZ mountains and it performed great. Well worth the price and time to install. |
| Finished installing these after about 2 hours of work. Not difficult but time consuming.Took a 3 hour tour and have to say as skeptical as I was these thing work great. No more 40mph wobble when slowing down. I would have given this 5 stars but 2 complaints, they are noisy. You can hear them 'swishing' at low speed, and second...why so dam much money. these are not some fancy chromed accessory. They work well and the ride is definetely smoother and the 'wing wobble' as I liked to call it was gone. |
| First I want to say I was extremely uncomfortable in the stock Honda seat. I bought the Ultimate seat through Ultimate because I wanted the color accents and heater option. The seat looks great on the bike. I get lots of complements. Ultimate was a great company to work with, they gave me the rain cover for free. They also told me I could not return it within the 15 day return policy because I ordered the accents. They only take returns on the all black seat. I had researched these seats and everyone I talked to loved their seat. I also sat on one myself before I purchased. I bought the seat about 8 months ago but waited until I took my 10,000 mile trip across the country and back to write my review on this seat. I am sorry to say I can only go about 2.5 to 3 hours before I have to get off the seat and walk around, my butt really starts to hurt. I also own a Harley and I can go 5 to 6 hours on that seat (The Sundowner) without any pain what so ever. My wife loves the Ultimate passenger seat especially the backrest. It is angled better than the stock seat. The heating elements on the this seat are superior to the stock heating elements you do get nice and warm especially for the passenger's backrest. I know this is a staff pick and I talked to two of the Wingstuff staff that have the Ultimate seat before I bought mine, but I can not recommend this seat. I am giving it only 2 stars because I spent $1400 and it is not worth that kind of money, but since my wife is happier I will get a foam or gel pad for my butt. |

I am rating the meter with only 4 stars since it comes with no directions to install it on a GW. People are complaining because the unit is a "marine volt meter", what if it didn't say "marine" on it, then would that make it ok? I look at it like this: If it is good enough for a "Marine Vessel" then it should surely work fine on my motorcycle when I get caught in the rain since it is waterproof and fog free. As far as the light being "red" in the meter I think it is easier reading at nighttime. IMPORTANT: DO NOT use the cross lines on the back of the panel beside the key hole for the glovebox or the meter will not be in the center of the recessed area. I measured the center of the recessed area and marked it & drilled it from the front side of the panel. Just to let people know you need to drill a 2 1/16" hole to mount the meter so make sure you have a tool that size unless you have a steady hand to use a dremmel tool or whatever other tool you have. I used a 2 1/16" holesaw. I installed the meter on a 2009 audio/comfort GW. I had NO empty socket to install the power to. I cut the connector off of the meter and soldered a wire on the meter and ran it to the "accessory screws" in the fuse block. I figured it would also give me a more accurate reading. The meter seems to be very accurate. Just remember your GW does NOT charge as soon as you start your bike it takes a few seconds then it kicks in to charge. |
| Replaced the Dunlop tires on my Wing 7625 miles. The rear was down to the wear bar. Just rode 1230 miles 500 was east Tennessee and North Carolina mountains. Bridgestones are the best tires that you can have on a Goldwing. Smooth ride superb handling. |
| Installed today and gave it 5 stars for price and function. The standard grips are not comfortable for me and I did not want to mess with the heated grips or spend a lot of money. These felt much better when I road the Wing afterward and for an unbelievable price. I have not used my heated grips yet. I used soap and a little water and they went on with out much trouble. |
