I've had these on my bike since February and am very pleased. In the summer you can direct the heat away and a breeze towards you. The winter you can direct the engine heat towards you. I live in central Florida and ride year round, but the Baker Wings make it much more enjoyable. They are reasonably easy to install and look good.
The key word is water resistant, by no means waterproof, and it does not pack very small. It does fit the bike perfectly.
I bought the side bags in January, taken several trips and I am impressed. Since I suffer from OCD, I pack using Eagle Creek packing cubes, which fit in the bags perfectly.
The Power Park stand is not truly "plug and play", not if you do your own maintenance and check the pressure in your tires before every ride as I do. I had to cut a 3/4" board to clear the rear tire so it would spin and it had to fit in the saddlebag in case of a flat on the road. But I expected this, it was just a bit of a hassle getting the board just right. Another issue is the starter, at least mine, will not power park the thing while two up.And no my wife and I are not overweight. The video demo is a bit deceptive too. Conditions have to be perfect for the stand to work as shown. Other than these issues I'm OK with it. I have to be, it cost me $169.00. Would I buy it again knowing what I know now? Hmmm. Good question. The jury is still out...
Just installed my belly pan. INSTRUCTIONS SUCKS! No clarity, you don't know if the front piece goes totally under the front cowl or goes up in between the front cowl and the engine. Answer: It goes up in between the front cowl and engine. Make sure you get all of the protective covering off, cause if you leave a little it will give off a burnt plastic smell after the engine gets hot and leave residue on the edges of the pan. Overall I like the pan. Sturdier than I expected. Thanks.
I just bought this piece unfortunately discovered to fix to my bike, 2012
Grat Product, tried all the others, beads etc. but these are the best. I also use for my airplane prop makes a big difference in balancing the prop.
Typical Kuryakan high quality chrome and what I feel is a well-designed system. Very simple install. Definitely make sure you tape the shifter side chrome (per instructions) during install as it is simple to scratch when installing. I would recommend electrical tape as the blue masking got chewed-up quickly and I failed to see it. One other note, and duh on me, make sure the side stand is down when installing or you will trap it behind the floorboard. I bought the shift extender and large brake pedal as well (but did not open) but am returning as I find the current layout perfect. I am 6ā3ā, shoe size 11 with a 32ā inseam. I find the current shift mechanism already spacious enough if not too far back for upshifting given how I center my foot more forward. The supplied brake pedal also seems ideal and not roomy enough to house the larger brake pedal and get onto it quickly. To each his own Iām sure. Sorry I waited so long to install as this has greatly added to my comfort.

for the technology it is overpriced, but for the safety and fun of riding with others i would not be without it. had one on my 1200, 1500, harley ultra classic and now 1800.. time to go on a ride |
It doesn't get any easier than this. Bravo Battery Tender!!
My 13 year old neice says "the flag adds a nice touch......" I had more thought of it as 'Pride' or even 'safety' since it is constantly moving. But I guess every age group has their own satisfying expectation when they see "Ole Glory" waving freely!

Just completed installation of the Ergo II highway pegs on my 09 Wing. All went well, albeit the other postings on this site are accurate relative to a "not-complete" set of instructions. I did also watch the attached video and several steps were somewhat omitted. As to telling the difference between LH and RH on the mounting bracket, each bracket has a slight offset (directed towards the rider when mounted). |
