I installed the sensors on my 2008 Comfort/Navi wing this morning before going on a chapter lunch ride. The unit works great but it interferes with the Honda built in electronics. Once the sensors become active, I can change volume but it has no effect on the audio level, when transmitting on the cb, the radio does not blank and none of the buttons on the shelter work at all. I removed the sensors and also took the batteries out and the problem is resolved. I was really looking forward to using these! Now I am out almost $200. Jim Burleson, TX |
| The Mini Arms for the Ergo II Highway Footpegs are a great improvement for taller riders! I am 6' 1" tall with a 36 " inseam. Leg extension is the only concern I had with the Goldwing and the Mini Arms corrected that issue for me. They are simple to install and well worth the money. |
| I agree with Kent, Englewood, CO. The backrest is essential on a touring bike. My girlfriend selected the Utopia from my wish list as a birthday present 2 years ago. The backrest looks like it was intended for the 2009 Goldwing. I did the installation myself-- about 2 very careful hours. I have about 50k miles since, and am grateful every mile. 5 stars, for sure. |
| I don't like the stock pegs on the Wing. My old feet like the full length rest. I traded a VTX1800 for the Wing, so was spoiled to floorboards and heel/toe shifter. I put these on my Wing the first day, 70,000 miles ago, and have been very satisfied. WARNING---- DO NOT TIGHTEN the mounting bolt for the shifter. Some play is required in order for the shifter to work. LocTite, as noted below, would be a singularly bad plan. I have not scraped the boards while turning, but I ride conservatively. Boards are not for everyone, but I like them a lot. |
| This was one of the first additions to my 2009 Wing. The stock kickstand d seems flimsy, and is ugly as a mud fence. The Khury chrome stand has a bigger footnote clean lines, and looks so much better on the bike. 30 minute install, at most. It has been in use for 3 years, 70 000 miles with no change to the finish. Some Khury parts rust, but thus one is good, so far. Excellent addition. |
| This is a good quality bag. The zipper could be better with bigger teeth, but I've had no problems after 2 long trips. The little shoe-shaped side pockets look better than they perform, though. They are too small for shoes, and the shape makes then unhandy for just about everything else. Perfect fit for the Khury trunk rack. 5 stars. |
| I've had this rack installed for about 18 months. Finish is still ok. I keep the Wing in the garage when not on the road. We have made 2 long trips, and things look good, so far. My only complaint is the cost. This is a pricey little piece of pot metal. It is very handy, though, for the extra bag. Glad I have it. 3 stars at this price. 5 stars at $100...... |
| As others have noted, you cannot install these in holes drilled for the Khury trunk rack. Adding the feet changes the angle of the rack legs. I bought these with the rack and still screwed up the install. Thankfully, the large feet cover my mistakes. Good product--take your time with the install, and don't try to use as an add-on to an existing rack. |
| All Balls is yet another necessity that should be installed at the factory. What a difference. No more low speed wobble, which had become a nightmare for me. Steering is more positive, riding much more confident. This is another MUST-HAVE product. If you don't have them yet, don't wait. Expensive install at the stealership, but I didn't want to try it myself. |
| Honda is too cheap to include this as a standard--inexplicably. Dealers should add one to every Goldwing sold, as a service. Good grief. The product is foolproof, and very handy. There is simply no excuse for Honda to wire for this, but not to include it as standard equipment. There is even less justification for a dealer not to install. HELLO, FOLKS----we are dropping more than $25,000 on your business. You can afford a $30 accessory. |
| Have tried dunlap dint like them these are the tires for my 2008 goldwing. have put 2 sets on so far and getting great wear. keeping 41.0 lbs in front and 40.0 lbs in back good buy for sure |
| Gave it 4 stars because the template does not always have the proper locations of holes. not a problem though just make sure you measure twice and drill once |
