I bought these lights for my 2012 Wing. Great look, very bright, installation was simple with well written instructions.
Look incredible! Had them on for a week and the wife absolutely loves them. Installation was simple and the instructions were very clear with decent pictures. Honda marks the inside of the trunk for the side without the antenna to be drilled out for the CB antenna if needed, so very easy to get both sides level. 5 stars for now I will update if I see any rust.
Very easy install, the instructions were written very well. I have a 2012 with heated seats; I was very concerned about “the cutâ€. Follow the instructions and you will be fine, it is a lot more nerve racking than it should be. The comfort is incredible and looks like it was made for the bike. My wife loves the bag that attaches to the rear of the back rest. Absolutely great buy and definitely a do it yourself project!
This is an update to my review below since I’ve received a couple of requests to provide a picture of where I inserted the screw which corrected the issue of the Kickstand Extender coming loose . Here is a picture https://screencast.com/t/XoM0PQ8AYMe of the screw I inserted which will absolutely prevent the extender from moving from the position it is in when you insert the screw. I hope this helps.
If you are the driver that puts your foot down on turns and lets it slide down the pavement these are not for you. You will get your leg and or foot caught under them. If you keep your feet on your foot pegs then there is no interference. These fit well and look really good. My wife likes the option to move her legs and says these are in a good position for her. She has long legs and these fit her sitting position nicely.
purchassed these lights before the revised installation directions....requires removal of front cowling to install. recomend you test these lights befor anything is attempted. kind of a pain when the front is off and several of the lights don't work once installed they look great.
I purchased this unit a year ago today, have had one faulty sensor replaced, and fell victim to the flexing valve stem problem where the front wheel sensor caused the rubber stem to flex until it started to leak. Last week the monitor display went dark in one corner and the entire display is now too faint to read. I called the manufacturer, spoke with Amanda, and the first thing she asked was if I had dropped the monitor. I said that I hadn't dropped it and that it had always been in its rubber case. I was instructed to send the entire unit, sensors and all, back to them so the warranty department could evaluate the failure. I am awaiting their response.
I have never been more disappointed in anything before like I am about these pegs. My pegs started to rust in ONE year and my bike is stored in a climate controlled garage! I see they are using a CHEAP way of chroming their products! What do I do re-chrome them or buy another set of cheap chrome pegs?

I just installed this on the my 2012 GL1800. One of the reviewers said that it interferes with the heat vent mechanism. It does not if you install it as instructed. You must drill the hole on the small upper right side of the fairing pocket where the X indicates to drill. I drilled the hole slightly smaller than the recommended size, then carefully pushed and turned the power plug through the hole. This effectively created a threaded hole on the fairing into which the power plug is secured. I also used the included rear nut for extra support, but it is not really necessary with the tight fit I have. As mentioned by other reviewers this has an inline 3 amp fuse. Check the accessories you are planning on running off of this plug. I am running a 1.85 amp air pump and a Garmin navi - so no problems blowing my fuse. |
Put these on two weeks ago and went on a little ride yesterday. Hey the temps are still below 40 here in Utah. The install went pretty good. I used a band saw to cut the plastic cover piece and then trimed it up with a dremmel tool. Soon as the weather breaks I'll go on a longer ride to see if it helps with the stiff lower neck issue I've experienced in the past. I figured for $80.00 bucks it was worth a try.
The fit on these are not good. The left side on just fell out on me 2 days ago on a ride to Corpus Christi. I'm holding off buying again hoping someone knows of a better product.
This is such a great touch and an easy install. One little not though, the bolts heads are a little soft, so be careful when tightening.
