Clutch/Brake Or Round Handlebar Drink Holder w/Basket
ITEM CODE: PG27629

06.01.2015
Pure TRASH. Spent 6 hours trying to get the little rubber titties through the round holes in the right place and gave up with 3 holes filled. I should have just bought a whole new holder. I am surprised WingStuff would carry this item. The original one developed holes within 6 months and they quickly spread to large holes. I'll shop for a new cup holder for my passenger on my GL1800.

Factory OEM Air Filter for GL1800
ITEM CODE: HO17210MCAA60,   SKU: HO17210MCAA60

I think it's great that WingStuff has this sort of thing in stock in California. I live in Utah and got it in 3 days. Perfect fit. I bought by wing with 22k and have 42k on it. Not sure if the previous owner ever changed the filter it but it was past due. Like other reviews it's not the easiest thing to get at but with some patience and perseverance it's doable. I wonder what a shop would charge to replace it? I'll bet they would want a couple hundred bucks. The other reason I try to do this sort of thing is because I'm not sure I trust most shops, at least around where I live, to do a good job.

ITEM: AO519

I just installed the Model 519 Chrome on my VTX1800S. It fit nicely in the same location as the stock horn. The stock wiring plugged right in with no changes. Since the Wolo air horn is heavier than the stock horn, I used a sturdier mounting bracket and everything else went into place as advertised. I should have bought one of these Bad Boys a long time ago.

ITEM: WSRACKBAG

05.31.2015
I bought this bag almost three years ago or about 100,000 miles ago. I use the bag every trip out of town. I have always used bungee cords over the bag, but never has the Velcro straps or other lashings come loose. I do apply a water proofing and use the bag cover, been through many extensive storms, very cold (25F. @ speed. Limit plus a few mph). Not a bag limit but a load limit, I suggest loading light bulky items, spare gloves etc for easy access. My evaluation,, would I buy it again,, YES. I love endurance riding. IBA,,, just wish I could allocate more time to riding. GO NAVY

ITEM: WSGL18CA

I just received this yesterday for my 2008 GL1800 and think they're good for the price, but could be better. First, the fit isn't perfect...a little large in one dimension and a little small here or there. Second, as others have pointed out, the backing for these would be better if they were textured rubber instead of having pointed rubber spikes; these are great for cars with existing carpeted floors, but lousy for the stock hard plastic interior of the GW's compartments...they don't grip much and they eat up another 1/8' of precious cargo space height (in fact, I took a razor and cut all those tiny spikes off). Third, the Wingstuff logo is made of solid rubber (versus embroidery) and the one I got was not positioned level...it was VERY off. So I think these are good and will be helpful, but they could be better with a solid backing and better quality control.

ME 888 Marathon Ultra Tires for GL1800
ITEM CODE: PG36097

05.28.2015
Again, I want to point out I did not buy these tires from Wingstuff. I am a `test' fro a friend who owns our local dealership.

At 1800 miles, the hum and vibration in the front tire is worse, especially on turns. Now the rear is singing like an acapella choir. A few months ago, my parts manager informed Tucker Rocky rep. Rep said, "We've had no other complaints..." and blew him off. Tech rode my bike and agreed with me, that they have an issue. And, dealer had another Winger on a trip who stopped and because he had the same problem with only 2500 miles. Dealer is trying to get TR to take the tires back. We'll see how well that works.

My own opinion is, these tires are new. Released in 9/2014. Sometimes, a new release needs feedback in order to better the product. There may be tweaks made in the future, and if they fix the vibration/noise issues (and I mean out the door), I will buy them. I like the tread pattern, and they do stick. But the horrible initial performance outweighs me having them right now.

Again, I did not buy these from Wingstuff, and my post in no way should reflect on Wingstuff.

Ultragard Gold Wing Half Cover Gray
ITEM CODE: BB4458G,   SKU: BB4458G

To keep the hooks from scratching anything, I slip on a piece of heat shrink (so it hangs over the end by an 1/8") and shrink it with a heat gun. Has never come off or scratched the paint. :-)

Ultragard Gold Wing Half Cover Gray

I'vd had two of these over the last 10 years. The silver on finally fell apart this winter. The beautiful Cranberry that I bought last year is going strong, except that it faded badly during our two week trip to California (blame it on the hot sun). Will go back to silver again next time. Meanwhile the Cranberry is still waterproof - just looks faded.

Front Nose Mask for GL1800
ITEM CODE: PG00053

Don
I had this on my Christmas wish list and Santa got it for me. I waited a few months to install it, just because I was lazy. Finally, I opened the package, read the directions, and five minutes later it was on and looking good! I was concerned about how it would hold up at freeway speeds, but that concern was put to rest immediately upon my first ride with it on. I didn't even test ride it; I just took off from San Diego and headed for Washington. On my 2500+ mile round-trip, it stayed put with no flopping around or fluttering. It fits perfectly and stays positioned as installed, plus it's easy to wipe clean with just a little water and a microcloth. As long as you're careful while removing the plastic edge trim on the fairing, you'll have no problems installing this product. Just use your fingers and pinch the edges of the plastic trim pieces to remove them; don't use tools. You don't even need to remove the entire plastic trim pieces; you only need to lift them back far enough for the end tabs of the nose mask to be secured by sliding them under the plastic trim. Installation is pretty easy and you'll like the new classy look of your bike.
