About:
Got my first bike, a 1966 Honda 90 Super sport, when I was 14. Over the past few years my bikes have included a 2007 Honda VT 1100 Shadow Spirit and a 2008 Honda VTX 1800T. I just found this 2009 Goldwing at the end of May. A Canadian bike with fewer than 7000 km on it. I can't believe how well it handles and how light it really feels.
Update: By the end of October, I've put on almost 11,000 km on my bike and I love riding it every time I get a chance. It handles MUCH better than you would think a machine this size would. The ONLY problem I've had is a side stand that doesn't lock when it's put down. I've actually had to pick the bike up after parking it facing downhill, and have it roll off the stand. Surprisingly, it isn't that hard to pick up! In August I rode to Sturgis with a couple of friends (both of them on Harleys - very nice bikes, but it was obvious which of the three bikes is really meant for touring). Update: September, 2016. Regretfully, I've had to sell the Goldwing. But I've replaced it with a very nice Honda Valkyrie, which I hope to enjoy as much as the 'Wing.

12V DC GL1800 Fairing Power Socket
ITEM CODE: HO08U55MCA101, SKU: HO08U55MCA101

Easy install and works well
I installed this into the left fairing compartment of my bike and installation was quick and easy. You do need a hole saw (check the size on the instructions), but that's as complicated as it gets. As with many other "do-it-yourself" projects on the 'Wing, Honda has made it very easy for owners to do the work. Simple installation, and it works great. |

Looks great!
These are very easy to install and really make a nice addition to the trunk - and a great match to the chrome trim on the saddlebags |

Nice addition to the saddlebags!
Just added these chrome trim pieces to replace the stock, body coloured, trim and I'm very happy with the look of them. Very simple to install, using the stock hardware. Just be sure to follow the directions and it's very quick and easy. |

Makes a Dull Part of the Bike Shine
Installed these on my bike and couldn't believe the difference they make to an, otherwise, dull part of the bike. Very easy to install using the existing hardware. Took about 10 minutes! |

Excellent addition
I added these to my bike shortly after buying it, and they really are a perfect addition to the otherwise nondescript vent holes in the fairing. Very easy to install. |
Kuryakyn Armrest w/ Drink Holder for GL1800

The best I've seen
These were on the bike when I bought it, and my wife loves the comfort and convenience of them. The built in cupholder is awesome, and so easy to use - and it hides away nicely when not in use. The only thing that users need to be aware of is that the armrests need to be swung away from the bike in order to open the trunk, and the passenger intercom connection needs to be relocated. Nonetheless, these are the nicest passenger armrests I've seen for a Goldwing. |

Look Fantastic
Added these Shark Gills to my bike, and they really make the bike look awesome! Love the chrome addition and the "predator" look they give the bike. |

Kuryakyn Chrome Luggage Rack w/Rubber Inlay for GL1800

This rack looks beautiful and is functional too
The rack came with my 2009 GL 1800 and is in perfect, new condition. I HAVE seen this same rack on a US model Goldwing, that was either in a high salt environment, or was stored outdoors in a higher humidity area, or both. Regardless, it was NOT in good condition. The chrome was pitted on the top of the rack and bubbling on the bottom. My bike is always stored inside, and I clean it meticulously - plus I live in an area where the humidity is very low, so I'm thinking the deterioration won't be an issue. Love the look of it, but I do think anyone who buys it should be aware of potential limitations. I'd give it 5 stars if I hadn't seen the condition on another Goldwing. |
