Easy to install and work as advertised. With all the complaints, I was concerned. These are better than my 5 LED set. The LEDs are angled so passing vehicles can seem them clearly and they do not distract the motorcycle driver. A cycling friend of mine remarked how bright they are when coming up on my side.
This manufacturer has made the unit with 2-horizontal slots on each of the belly pan sides, to place over the 2-lower rear cowl bolts. This requires complete removal of the 2-cowl nuts in order to get the sides of the belly pan horizontal slot over the cowl bolts. This can only be accomplished after removal of the 2-cowl nuts and pulling out the lower rear cowl off the bolts. Other manufacturers have a vertical slot that enables pushing the sides of the belly pan over the 2-lower cowl bolts and thus the nuts are not completely removed. In my installation effort, after removing the two nuts and pulling the lower cowl off the bolts, I was able to get the front lower cowl bolt hole back on the bolt, but not the rear one. It would not line up no matter how much tugging and pulling I tried. To facilitate a simpler installation I ultimately used a metal grinder to make a vertical slot into the original horizontal slot, as done by other manufacturers, so I could slide the pan sides directly over the 2-bolts. After numerous attempts to get the rear cowl bolt hole back over the rear bolt I finally had to jury rig a ratchet come-along between the front hole and the rear saddle guard, to pull the lower cowl rear ward to match the bolt with the lower cowl mounting hole. To simplify the installation grind a vertical slot into the manufacturers horizontal slot and only loosen the lower cowl nuts. Absolutely do not remove the nuts.

Bought this kit with the idea of adding additional lights to the back of the bike. Installations was pretty straightforward and initially, the lights worked as advertised. In addition to this kit, I changed out all the standard bulbs in the back to LEDs from SoCalMotorgear. The instant these LEDs were installed, the problems started. Every time I turned on the bike, the signal lights would light up with the turn signals off. I though it might be a problem with the LEDs included with this kit so I tried some others I had. Same problem. I tried swapping out various lights on the bike and it was only when I put in the OEM signal lights on the rear of the bike that this kit started to work again. Contacted Electrical Connection about the issue and the said it was a problem with the lower resistance of the LED bulbs. They had another customer with the same problem but, as of yet, had not come out with a fix. If you plan on keeping the stock lighting in the rear, this kit is worth exploring, however, it you've done, or plan to do, an LED upgrade, don't waste your money. |
i agree when I got these wired in they looked really bright like the brake light was stuck on. But they do get brighter when applying brake light. They were easy to hook up and look great. If someone rolls up behind you and don't see you then they were never looking to start with. Nice lights and I hopefully just improved our safety...
In the past I have always opened and shut my trunk with the luggage rack. Finally I decided to give the trunk handle a try. I ordered this lighted handle, it was a little work to remove the inner trunk liner and get the holes drilled but got er done! Handle looks and works great. I highly recommend this item for added bling and safety.

I ordered a pair of these about two years ago, installed them in my wing. They sound very nice. I now have the second wing I plan to trike (Once Motor Trike send kit to installer), I ordered a pair for this bike which arrived today. I can't wait to install them. I do however plan on taking a little hint from another Wingstuff customer and spray the speaker housings and apply the polyester linen for even better sound. I also ordered the faring speakers for this bike, they are on back order! I'll be ready for them when the arrive in September! I've noticed one thing though - these upgraded speakers sound better with mp3 music over the radio!!! |
I use this polish often! One day I cleaned my wing and did my shine job with this original spray. Afterwards I went to the grocery store for a couple items, another customer was walking out beside me when she saw me getting on the wing her comment was "Wow - that bike is really bright and shinny!" Exactually my goal, I want to be so bright in the sun people can't miss me - or should I say they really do miss me! They can't help but see that shinny bike. Thanks Original Spray & Polish for a great product at a very nice price.
These are very easy to install and really make a nice addition to the trunk - and a great match to the chrome trim on the saddlebags
Just added these chrome trim pieces to replace the stock, body coloured, trim and I'm very happy with the look of them. Very simple to install, using the stock hardware. Just be sure to follow the directions and it's very quick and easy.
Installed these on my bike and couldn't believe the difference they make to an, otherwise, dull part of the bike. Very easy to install using the existing hardware. Took about 10 minutes!
This my second luggage rack. The first rack was not as tall which made it difficult to clean/wax the surface below it. This one is tall enough to get a rag under it for cleaning and waxing. This rack is bigger and can handle larger items. Chrome and welds seem OK. I like it. I bought the larger washers for the installation but the diameter is too large for the curved surface of the inside of the hatch. The provided washers work fine. Make sure to use a drill bit which is slightly larger than necessary so the bolts will not contact the plastic hatch....prevents cracks from forming.
Its only one answer to all out there this product will last two 1/2 to 3 years no more like the rest of the products that Kuryakyn sales
