I installed these 2 weekends ago. I strongly suggest you view all the youtube videos on Baker Built wings you can find. I messed up installing the right side by aligning with the wrong pocket line. But that was purely my mistake, too late at night installing. Overall it took me 2 hrs to install. I have used them to block and draw air and they do a decent job. I was surprised that there were no bumper dots to keep them from scraping against the plastic. I put on small felt dots. I have the mirror and trike wings that will go on when it gets colder out.
Actually easy to follow instructions. I have a 2015 RedBlack Goldwing and this really make a impact. Will ride and adjust as needed. If you have the Ergo II if you update you will not be sorry. Great product!
I have had these for about 2 years. and had to take them off the bike because the extra weight of the armrest keeps breaking the plastic rear speaker bottoms where they bolt to the trunk hinges. I am on my third set of speaker covers because when you open the trunk the weight of the arm reset hyper extends the hinges and the bolt holes for the hinges are very fragile and get pulled apart. Wish it wasn't so. Wife loved them.
Easy install, great look, Excellent design.

These are probably the most adjustable and comfortable highway pegs out there. They safely fold up as required when they meet the highway in a corner. Make sure you use lock tight on the threaded parts, they WILL vibrate loose. (that's a bummer on the freeway at about 80) They look stunning when new. I have several seasons on mine and the rubber still looks new and not worn. Now... the bad news. The chrome looks great for a few months. Then it blisters, chips, stains, dulls and generally looks bad. Kuryakyn will not stand behind their chrome. My wing has 105K mi and looks show room fresh. People are amazed to find out it's an 05. So, it's not for lack of detail. Actually I detail it once a week. I would give these 5 stars if not the the chrome. If you replace them once a year, they'll always look great! |
I use cruise a lot but not on mountain roads. 8 hours in the mountains, no problem with cramps. There worth it.
I was tired of the jolt from holes. These make it smooth like the Cadillac of bikes should be. They did raise the front where I noticed it but my feet are still flat on the ground. My install is done by a dealer and is not a cheep installation. I needed seals too and of course fluid. Came to $325.00 The new ride is worth it though.
I sometimes I let go of handles to make a connection or adjustment. Under 40 mph the front would shake. Not with a fork brace though. After installation I traveled for 30 miles just to test at 55 mph with no hands. These should be standard from factory!
If your wife is heavy it can get in the way and DE installation is 2 screws. Gives ample support, has a handy pouch. Stay focused when installing or wreck your seat. Accurate alignment is necessary. Measure thrice and cut and drill once. I succeeded first time though my profession calls for accuracy.
It is still shiny chrome and mounts like new yet. Has two rubber inserts for a can or water bottle.
Fits perfect. Wire is in your faring to connect to.
