Purchased this item about three years ago. Very functional but the chrome has rusted and pitted. Either bad batch or cheap chrome. I have several other kurykyn accessories with no complaints.
Looks great for the first 6months, then started pitting with with the Crome coming off, not acceptable for wingstuff to continue selling such trash downgrading their own credibility..
Got my set in a couple of days ago but had time yesterday after work. Directions pretty straight forward. After marking and drilling the trim pieces I went up in hole size several times then one size over the screw size. Everything lined up perfect until I went to install the wings. Top and middle holes lined up fine. Both bottom holes were almost 1/4" too short. I had to enlarge the oval to fit the screw into the hole. After installation I took the bike out for a short quick ride and am pretty happy with how it works. No deflection for the lower leg area though.
Look real good and are very comfortable, easy to fit.
Had these insalled with new tires prior to last winters layup Started riding this spring was impressed with the smooth ride feel at all speeds from 20. To 105 ya got to let it breath a little . All was looking good on my testing till I had a major cord seperation at aprox 6500 miles on the rear tire was at the WingDing in Billings .Brigestone stepped up and gave me both tires even thought the front was good the rear had 3 splits 2 where 4in 3rd was almost 6in scarry. Have 4000 on the new tires barely any wear soo far. Am happy sofar with centramatics hoping for 16000 on read and 21000 on front time will tell
Very disappointed by these expensive bulbs. The present one small dot of light from the front and almost no broad beam from the fixture.
Good afternoon, my name is Biamna Mezzasalma, at the beginning of October this year, buy this product and still have had no response to shipment and has not reached the destination, and the product has already been debited from my credit card, so I appreciate information.
|
I just installed mine and if i turn completly left or right, the cluth lever and front brake lever will hit the windshield. However, it is better than stock handlebar. Thinking of trimming the sides of the windshield. |
Adds just the right amount of flare without looking to outlandish, simple install! So far so good.
When I Bought my 2005 Wing the dealer I bought it from had put a brand new set of Shinko 890 tires on it. I thought ok... if I get 5k out of them I will put a "Good" set of tires on. It has been 10k and it is time for a new set. I don't think 10k is bad for tires on a Wing from what I have read so I think I am going to give them another shot. I am in SoCal and ride daily.
This product is awesome. The modulation pattern really grabs your attention, and it is even more awesome at night. Discerning Goldwing wiring was no easy task and made this much more difficult than it should be. I have a 2001 Goldwing (just bought used with only 23K miles!). There is only ONE brake light wire going to the left side (trunk). It is green with a red stripe. This wire controls both left side brake lights. The right side (trunk) brake light has TWO brake wires, both green with red stripe. One controls one bulb, one controls the other bulb. There are two brown/white wires. These are for the driving lights. Do not cut them. There are two solid green wires. These are the grounds. When you make your connections, you must connect both power-side green/red wires to the red or orange wire from the module. You must connect both bulb side green/red wires to the red/white stripe wire from the module. And, you must connect the black ground wire to both both green ground wires. You will have to cut both wires and connect all four ends to the ground wire. I had to splice and add quite a bit of extra wire. Pain in the neck process, but the end result was worth it.
I really liked this product, fix perfectly on my Goldwing. Easy to put on ,no problem.
