| This is easy way to find any potential problems before they become catastrophic. Catching the very fine metallic material may also help extend the life of the engine. I previously had the smaller bolt head and like the stock size much better. |
| The Bridgestone Tire COMBO for GL1800 G704/G709 is a really good choice especially for the price. The last set I got over 10,000 miles on rear. The front still had several thousand miles remaining but changed with rear to have two new tires for start of riding season. The rebate makes price even more competitive. |

They work so well and looks so good they should be standard on every 1800. After riding 75,000 miles with them I took them off one day just to see what it would be like. And my wife made me pull over to put them back on. |
| I tried to replace a missing slotted grommet on the side cover closest to the engine on my 1500 and they are too tall. I had to cut down the back side to shorten the slotted sections length to make them fit. The oval ones seemed fine. They are a harder rubber compound than the OEMs. |
