| After reading other reviews, seems I'm not the only one with issues on the short life span of the left light. Wish they sold them with (2) left lights per package. As of now, I can't justify dropping another $140+ knowing what a short life span they have. Love 'em when they work.... |

I recently finished a 7,250-mile road trip from Texas to the northwestern states. I had about 9,000 miles on the OEM Bridgestones and had to replace them. I wanted a tire that could give me much better mileage but still provide the comfort the Bridgestones did. After researching these and some convincing input from a local bike repair shop which primarily serves Harley's, I decided to go with these tires. The one thing I was concerned about was the comfort they would provide. I am a fan of the darkside for the mileage (ran a Bridgestone Driveguard for 30,000 miles on rear), but not for the handling. And though I didn't think I noticed the rougher ride, my wife didn't like the Darkside tire, so what the heck, I went back to OEM Bridgestones. Well, I say I was concerned because I found all sorts of great things about these tires, but everyone seemed totally silent on the "comfortable ride" part. I couldn't find anything or anyone talking about that. But I did it anyway and put them on (front and rear). Another potential concern was that in my research, I found riders who complained about this tire wanting to follow tar snakes. A few people complained about the ride on grooved pavement with these tires. My results? Holy smokes! Far superior to the darkside handling and comfort (I ran 42 PSI due to TPMS), and I would rate them superior in comfort and handling to the Bridgestones. I really, really like them. They are great in rain and really stick to the road. I had absolutely no problem whatsoever with them wanting to follow tar snakes. And as for grooved pavement, they performed much better than the OEM Bridgestones. Will it get the mileage the darkside offers? Of course not, but if I can pull off 15,000 - 20,000 miles, I would consider it a success. As for the wife, she says she will pay for the comfort these tires give her versus the darkside. (I am not against the darkside by the way). Some of my research indicated you can exceed 20,000 miles on the rear tire, and my repair shop that provided the input? He showed me a Dunlop Elite 3 he took off a Harley with 23,000 miles on it with very little wear evident... Yeah, not a Goldwing, but still. The tire looked great. And the Elite 4 was engineered for more mileage than the Elite 3, but with soft rubber for traction on the sides. Now, two things I offer as a disclaimer. I only have 3,000 on them, but it has been a great 3,000 miles. I am hoping to get some great mileage out of them, but that is a hope at this point. The second disclaimer is that I purchased Centramatics from Wingstuff and had them installed with the brand new Dunlop Elite 4's. How much of the comfort, handling, great ride on tar snakes and grooved pavement is the result of the Centramatics? I don't know. But what a difference the combination makes. I am sold on Centramatics and the Elite 4, for now. Assuming I don't run into issues in the miles ahead, I am sticking with these tires. Also, if I only get 10,000-12,000 miles out of them (unlikely I think), I will still stay with these tires. Final comment... I am not against the Darkside. I know 42 PSI seems a tad bit high on pressure, and perhaps that was an issue with the rougher ride my wife complained about. The TPMS warned me if I went lower and I am not changing it just because of the darkside tire. As for anyone else's negative experiences with tar snakes and grooved pavement, I believe you had the issues - but I didn't. In fact, with the Centramatics, I rode over tar snakes with zero issue, and some of the grooved pavement was rather severe that I rode over with zero issues. |
| These were an easy install and much brighter than I anticipated. They are independently adjustable so you can dial them in to your desired focal points. The silver color is a great match with my 2012 silver faring. |

Please start your installation of this item from left side of the motorcycle,installating is going quate easly, on the right side it is not possible to place this deflector correctly,probably GL 1500 has different both engine guards and there is not information about this fact. I had to cut upper part of right-side deflector to put it in the same angle like on the left side. |
| Added these to our 2015 Anniversary Edition. Love the look and features! No adjustment in the cowling though and one doesn't sit quite right. Only noticeable to the folks looking too close for bike errors. Install wasn't horrible. Recommend double checking the connectors for loose wires before closing up cowling. |
| Had a bad original vent on the left side so ordered these. Used a business card to protect the paint finish while prying old ones out with small screw driver. Suggest you double check the movement of the vent before installing so there are no catches. (I did not have a problem as both worked smoothly.) Make sure if you take yours out you know which is the longer side (depth) as there is no marking on these that I could see saying left or right. They snapped in snugly and operate smoothly. |

cover fits great not tight at all but if your outside the U.S don't ship with fedex I had to go pick it up myself as they only try to deliver once. and pay them $15 more for brokerage fee's. so cover ended up costing over a $110 usd . my preferred method for shipping out of the states is usps. |
| Well I have 7500 miles on my E4s and don’t see them getting much more than 10000. A very stable ride always @ 41 psi. One of the best and I have tried all the popular brands. But the sides are already very very close to the wear bars. The middle is holding up well. Don’t know how any one can get 18000 miles on any bike tires never have I seen it done. Of course I have not been riding to long only 50 yrs. I am not sure what tire I will use in the future. I do really like the cornering traction, the super stable ride, less cupping than any of the others. But the mileage has me a bit concerned. I usually get 10000 to 12000 on the other brands. |
| I purchased these a few months back and with about 12k on them now I will say that you should get quite a few more miles out of them. I am changing back to Bridgestone this weekend even though I could easily get another 8k out of these. I ride year round in Virginia and can say after trying about everything to improve the wet grip I have NEVER had any bike (my 2014 wing included) slip out from under me this many times. I ride between 105 and 150 miles a day on the same roads all the time with 100k+ miles on my wings and getting loose on wet pavement only 2 times on other tires these have almost caused me to go down with the tires slipping out at least a couple of dozen times in the 12k that I put on them. If you are a fair weather rider only then these are great tire for you but if you ride in wet weather stay away they are a major safety hazard. |

OK, will they rust? Yes if not properly taken care off. So when you wax your bike, wax the rack. I liked the design better than the Kuryakyn. It was simply a matter of choice. This was installed on my 2005 GL1800. My bike is metallic blue so it breaks up the color nicely. I guess I would say - it accents it. Formerly I owned a 1996 SE with this type of rack. The small rubbers and washers caused a hair line crack to emerge on the underneath side of the trunk. My son and I fiber glassed over it, then I bought the large flat chromed washers and placed them under the rack's legs. I did the same on my current 2005 when I installed the rack. The larger washers spreads the concentrated weight out over the trunk more. Less chance of a crack appearing. Just don't exceed the total weight if strapping stuff on. |

On a 2003 ABS I had installed Muth mirrors. You can see Muth ones blink. On this unit I installed these extensions and they work fine, but you do not see them blinking when sitting on the bike. I hard wired (soldered) them onto the blinker light's wiring as instructed. Have not had to adjust the mirror, even after install, so not sure if the excess space they take up will be a problem. (Read write up by the person who wrote a comment about switching over to Muth). If I have problems I will then consider installing Muth with the built in LEDs. So far, so good. |
| I installed this pan 10/2017 and the extension for the front, as a couple others said, not easy. I did the left side first then the right. After install I shook it a little and it does rattle, but did not notice any rattle on a test drive. Will see what takes place as I travel with the bike more. Installed on a 2005 GL1800. |
