I love the Bridgestone tires, no more front tire cupping or wobbling. Was able to get lots more miles out of then then the stock tires.
I purchased this rotor for my 2012 GL as a direct replacement of my front OEM rotor. Immediately i could tell these rotors really allow the OEM brake pads to bite for quicker stops. The only downside is it seems more brake dust is generated on my rims. Since using these, I have to regular blow the dust off of my ABS sensor to avoid the ABS light from flashing. Other than that, I love the performance upgrade.
I recently installed these foot wings on my 2008 GL-1800. Once the hardware was attached to the foot wings, they simply clip onto the front crash bars. I did note that the foot wing on one side did not seem to clip in as securely as on the other side. Having had the past experience of losing a foot wing device on the my former GL-1500, I decided to secure each of these wings with a cable tie, attached to the crash bar. I carry a small wire cutter with my tools, so I can easily remove the foot wings if necessary. I have ridden about 50 miles with the foot wings attached so far, with no sign of any shifting or loosening. The weather was too mild / dry to notice any major difference, but I expect that they will help keep my feet warmer and dryer in more harsh conditions.
I recently installed these LED Fog / Day Time Running Lights on my 2008 GL-1800, replacing the original Honda factory installed lights. Installation took a couple of hours, mostly to remove and replace plastic panels and run the wiring. In the process, I replaced the (non-illuminated) fog light switch with the back-lit one supplied in the kit, which makes it much easier to access the button when riding after dark. Even with the fog lights off, the white DTR lights make the wing much more conspicuous in daytime traffic. When a turn signal is on, the light on that side flashes yellow, which increases the awareness of other drivers, that you're turning. Likewise, when the emergency flashers are activated, both turn signals in the fog lights flash, in the opposite pattern as the DRLs. I have not ridden at night yet, so I am able to report the effectiveness of the LED fog lights themselves, but I am more than satisfied with the fit, finish and function of the DRL and amber turn signal components. I consider this an important lighting upgrade that is an improvement over the versatility and effectiveness of the OEM fog lights.
my tires that should have made 6 trips across the country made 1 trip and some short trips total of 12K and the rear tire was done . I got better wear from E3's
After posting the last review, and posting the same review on the Rivco website, Wingstuff reached out to me directly and also contacted Rivco on my behalf. Product was under warranty and Rivco offered to replace at no cost, just return and they would ship replacements. Thankfully, I said no, and requested shipment prior to return. They agreed, and I then got a reply that they were back ordered. Just now received the new items and they look good. We will see if they also start to chip in the painted hinge area. I sure hope not. 5 Stars for Wingstuff support. VERY attentive. 4 Stars for Rivco, only due to late on the uptake, back ordered, and original requirement to first return the defective part, which would have left me without pegs and required disassembly once to return and again to reinstall. I still think they should redesign to provide an anodized aluminum model, like they have for pre-2018 Wings.
First off, it turns out the pegs come with the brackets. I wasn't clear on that, and ended up having to return a set of pegs that I separately bought. But as for the product itself, they are very tasteful. They do not interfere with the lines of the bike. They work very well. Very stable, and positioned well for what you need.
I was so pleased of the Finish gloss black just what I wanted. Just trying to cut up the Chrome a little bit. Cannot wait to put them on. I can't wait till winter is over.
I got these as a gift. The install was easy, good instructions. They are solidly built. I’m 6’ and they seem to be the right length for me. Winter here so I haven’t got to put them to a mileage test yet.
I had this item installed on a 2010 over after market hand grip covers. It did not work . I just purchased a 2019 GW tour and remembered that I had saved this item despite not using it. I fits great on the stock hand grips. So I recommend this product for stock hand grips but go with something else on the thicker after market grips.
I installed this on my 2019 Tour and have a Garmin GPS (switched), connector to heat gear (constant feed), and the Show Chrome rear markers (switched) wired into it. I initially used the connectors that came in the kit to connect to the bike harness instead of heading Cruiseman's suggestion to use higher quality connectors to connect to the wiring harness. Once everything was connection, I turned the bike ignition on and only one of the marker lights worked. I immediately removed all five of the blue connectors and replaced with smaller and easier to connect items I had...obtained from a hardware store. The switch out went quickly. Once ignition back on, all of the "electrics" worked. If I add anymore "stuff" to the bike, I am confident it will go smoothly with the wiring connections. Looking to add a trailer harness before summer I believe the issue with the blue connector is that the item is designed for larger gauge wire than what comes with modern LED lights. It results in a hit-miss situation on the wires
I installed 5+ items on my 2019 GW and it took me 3 1/2 days to do it. This brake/signal light was most desired addition due to the enhanced visibility obtained from the rear of the bike. I installed the Honda rack at the same time as this light. The rack gave me more stress than this light. None-the-less, it was worth the effort. The illumination at night is awesome and the daytime effect is also darn good. I recommend this product.
