Air Deflectors for 2018+ Gold Wing

Air Deflectors
| As others have written, these deflectors look and work good. But I ran into the same problem with the upper bolt hole alignment but only on the right side. Even opening up the hole slightly with a file didn't help. The screw started but was going in with some resistance. When the screw seemed to tighten, it turned out the metal nut plate came off where it was attached so now the nut plate turns with the screw in either direction. Fortunately the screw is tight enough to secure the deflector. Luckily, there is an opening between the deflector body and the fairing so a thin screwdriver can be inserted in the space and can stop the nut plate from spinning. This allows the screw to be removed. The other problem is that the instructions identify the deflectors in reverse. Left is really the right and right is really the left. Took a few minutes to figure that out. These are the reasons for only 4 stars. |
