TAKA Windshields for GL1800
ITEM CODE: PG38681

10.06.2023
I wasn't sure about this purchase, but my OEM shield was badly scratched and ugly and I wanted to replace it. I like the idea of looking over the top of the shield but having some of the elements deflected over my head. Installation wasn't too bad with online videos (came with no instructions). It looks nice and when I rode it I really liked the way it handles the wind and the view over the top is good. I'm 5'10" and with the shield in the lowest position I have a good view over the top and the wind is going over my head. I haven't ridden with it in the rain yet, so I'm anxious to see how that does, but I really like it so far.

Footpegs w/Adjustable 1" Clamp
ITEM CODE: KU7976,   SKU: KU7976

I bought these because they were a little less expensive than the Ergo II highway pegs. First off, there was only one location that I could put them on the highway bars where my legs would actually reach them (30" inseam). Then I had a lot of problems with them not holding their position. They actually slid around the bar so they were too low and I had to wait until I got back home to re-tighten them. I torqued them very tight and then hit a bump and it slipped again. I took out the center washer and hoping that it holds now. I would recommend paying a little more for a better quality highway peg.

Performance Stainless Belly Pan
ITEM CODE: WS187416,   SKU: WS187416

This provides nice protection from road hazards which can prevent damage to your underside. As someone else pointed out, use gloves when installing (I forgot and cut myself on the sharp edge). It is a little tricky pulling out the lower side covers to get it to slide in, but after your figure it out, it's not too bad.

Pathfinder LED Headlight Kit for GL1800/F6B
ITEM CODE: AOG18H7P,   SKU: AOG18H7P

It was a little difficult to install the high beams, but given time & patience it is doable for the average Joe. When I first mounted the extra little boxes the forks bumped them when moving the handlebars so I had to relocate them for better clearance. They are really bright and help your visibility.

Deluxe Luggage Rack Bag w/Rain Cover
ITEM CODE: WSRACKBAG,   SKU: WSRACKBAG

08.17.2015
I bought this bag which is my second purchase. The first one I foolishly let go with my bike and I had to buy a second one when I got my new bike. It fits well on most any luggage rack and works well in all kinds of weather. You can pack a lot of stuff in here. I would get it while it is still on sale!!!!!

Factory OEM Brake Pads for GL1800
ITEM CODE: PG03702

I installed these and you can't go wrong with these. Obviously fit and function is perfect. A little tip in reply to previous review, to spread the calipers use a simple drum brake adjusting tool available at any auto parts store. It is an L-shaped tool. Just insert the L-end prior to removing old pads and pry the calipers open. Then the new pads won't be damaged and fit over the rotors with no problems.

I have had this on my bike for a year now. I was concerned because some people had mentioned the chrome wasn't good and had rust/flaking. I can tell you that it still looks great. Before I installed it I put a coat of wax on it and I have had no problems with the finish. The appearance is good and I think it looks nice on my bike. The welds all look good as well. I would recommend this to a friend.

Ergo II Highway Pegs for GL1800 Gold Wing
ITEM CODE: KU4056,   SKU: KU4056

08.16.2014
This is my second set of these and I love them. The first set I let go with my previous bike. I had them set too low (horizontal) and ground a significant portion off at the hinge during a ride on the twisties in Arkansas. They still looked good and functioned well despite being ground down. I bought another set for a newer bike I purchased, and I love the position, look, finish, etc. I am 5'10" and the standard length they come with fit fine with some knee bend. If I want to stretch out further I put my boots on top of the peg and can straighten out completely. Worth the $$.

I hesitantly ordered this because of the bad reviews about the chrome finish. I was pleasantly surprised as to how good it looks on the bike and how easy it was to install. I drill holes for a living, so thought I would try the manufacturer recommended diameter before going to a larger size as some have suggested. I put some blue painter's tape across the approximately area that it was to be installed, marked it, and then drilled the holes (1/4" I think is what they recommend). I nailed it first time and the fit was good. I coated it with a good coat of high quality wax before installing it and I think with enough care it will look good for years to come. If it corrodes, I will post a follow-up review.
