Red LED w/Clear Lense Chrome Trunk Handle
ITEM CODE: KU3215, SKU: KU3215
This was an absolute nightmare to install. Started out by drilling the holes with a small bit, drilling from inside out, and proceeded up to the 7/32 which I then drilled into the holes from the outside in. The bolts would not line up with the holes in the handle. I worked with this for over two days and on the last day... over two hours. Finally got it on but again, a nightmare. Called Wingstuff at one point and they advised me to drill out another size up - which I eventually did. I told them I was concerned about wall thickness and they suggested I call the Kury # they gave me... it went unanswered and to a machine - I have yet to hear from them. I did have problems with the 1/4 drill taking out part of the hole side wall on tow of the four holes - but the latch clips and the trunk interior seem to sturdy the situation - but still, I thought at the time, I was going have to scrap the trunk lid and pay $700 for a new one.
I consider myself to be pretty handy and I have installed several things where I had to drill the plastic - but this was a seriously butt puckering, sleep losing ordeal. Glad it's on.
Yes, I had to buy longer bolts as well.
Beverage Butler Motorcycle Drink Holder
ITEM CODE: PG02084
Got it mounted without problems. I can't imagine what the big one would look like - the small one is huge enough setting there on the handle bar.
6 Piece Replacement Fuse Kit for GL1800
ITEM CODE: WSFK1, SKU: WSFK1
Thought it was a good idea to have a supply on hand. Easy to throw in the bottom of the trunk... inexpensive, and out of sight... yet available if needed - either by me or someone in the group - if needed.
Seem to work OK. Fit nicely and seem to be a nice addition for the money.
Universal Power Plugs
ITEM CODE: PG03446
Got the trunk one. I was concerned about it simply pushing into the hole that was drilled and not having a "nut like" attachment on the reverse side. Not to worry though, if you drill the 1 1/8 hole the plug will fit snugly into the hole.
It took me longer to get all the 19 screws off and the inner trunk lid undone that to drill and attach the plug!
12V DC GL1800 Fairing Power Socket
ITEM CODE: HO08U55MCA101, SKU: HO08U55MCA101
Got this as part of the $1000 accessory package... there are others out there for less money though; but I have to say that this was pretty easy to install in my left fairing pocket. A hole needs to be drilled - on the angled part of the pocket in the right corner. Not a big deal. Look down inside the wrapped cables though for the plug-in connector. I had to cut mine to get at it.
Chrome Timing Cover for GL1800 Goldwing
ITEM CODE: KU3909, SKU: KU3909
Put it on today in the heated garage - ever easy install. Made sure to line it up so I could get the center cover out - put the new chrome center cover on in good shape.
Really looks great!
Performance Stainless Belly Pan
ITEM CODE: WS187416, SKU: WS187416
Installed this today. Not a bad install - just follow the advise you find from others here and you will be OK.
Baker Air Deflecting Leg Wings for GL1800
ITEM CODE: PG01049
Install was easy enough... couldn't get the snap on buttons to make the "clicking" noise they spoke of in the directions - and I pushed them on as hard as I could.
Adjustable Hand Wings for GL1800
ITEM CODE: PG01051
Simple install - looking for the first chance to get out and try them!
Battery Side Trim
ITEM CODE: BB52630, SKU: BB52630
Wow... what a difference these make. Great add-on. They were easy to put on and really add to the chrome look!
Chrome Wide Kickstand for Gold Wing
ITEM CODE: KU7104, SKU: KU7104
Very nice addition to my motorcycle. The spring fell off as I was putting the new stand on and I didn't notice how it was attached, and as a result I put it back on wrong; I noticed that the kickstand was not deploying as it normally would and that something was not right. I decided to investigate and decided to take the spring back off and turn it around and that did the trick. So... make a note of how the spring is attached and which end is which and you will avoid the mistake I made.
Overall - this is a very nice addition to the motorcycle!
