| Good hitch. Solid and easy install, took about 2 hours (but I'm slow). As others have mentioned, the final bolt in the assembly interferes with the edge of the saddle bag. It's in an area nobody sees, so a few seconds with a Dremel and a grinding bit was all I needed to make it work. Also mentioned above is the unknown box to the rear of the wheel on my 2010. I had to loosen the saddlebags for clearance to get the upper clamps in place. Very simple - removed only the top rearward bolt inside the saddlebag and it gave me just enough room. I almost gave it three stars. My unit came loosely assembled (nice to see how it goes together) but the large bolt that joins the trunnion to the front clamp was cross-threaded in the assembly. Some dunderhead *knew* this was gonna be a problem but packed the darned thing up anyway. No big deal for me as I had the tools to fix it. Some other poor schmuck might not have been as lucky. These three items are the reason for the 4 stars. There should be an addendum or revised instructions for these. |
