Avon Cobra Chrome Radial Tires for GL1800
ITEM CODE: PG23038

Tire
My shop couldn't find tires. I found these. Just because it's the only tires I could find was a blessing. I've bought these before and I like them. Much better than those Metzler tires that can't hold air. |

Too loud
Now that I've had these on for a while, I'm going back to the stock mufflers. Accelerating thru twisties, driving at highway speeds, acceleration in general is too loud. The sound is a bit harsh and, did I mention loud? If you want something that gives your 120hp some growl and put on 150 or more miles a day, don't go with these. You won't like them. |

Awesome
I got the black to go with my murdered out wing. There were a few small nicks but it looks so good I can't complain. If anything it sits a bit too low. I got the risers to add more of a base to the trunk and now it sits perfect for me. Perhaps it's a bit difficult to wash and wax under it, I'll take the rack off once a year and take care of that. |

I like that it folds up and out of the way. There's not of space for a cup holder on an 1800. Now for the bad. It swings. If your cup is short, and I mean SHORT, you will not have a problem but an average height stainless could turn upside-down. The jaws that hold the cup open easily and open wide enough that your cup could fall out. I found I was concentrating on keeping my cup from falling out I was paying enough attention on the road. I am going to try to fix these serious design flaws. Maybe securing it so it doesn't swing and adhesive lined heat shrink to keep the jaws from opening. |

High!
This thing really sets up there. Then if you get the risers to distribute the load, that add even more height. Wish I would have gotten the black Show Chome instead. |

Frustrating
The slip tubes are a nightmare. I was once a fair mechanic but I gave up. I'm going to pay someone to install these mufflers. I spend a few hours trying to get the right angle for the slip tubes but couldn't. It would have been nice if there were some kind of alignment makes or have the slip tube permanently attached. I was not happy! |

What else are you going to buy
These really sound like crap. It's hard to find 5" speakers. If you find 5" speakers the cone will not hold up to the weather. If you find 5" speakers that hold up to the weather, then the magnet won't fit in the fairing. I give these 2 1/2 stars because what else are you going to buy. |

Not the best sound quality. Better than the riped cone speakers I had and better than nothing. I couldn't find any 5" speakers that wouldn't be distroyed by water so actually... they're great. :-) |
6-Bulb Saddlebag Light Set for GL1500

Really nice. The plastic color is not as dark as stock lighting but not that noticible. I thought the fit wasn't any worse than the lights I replaced (due to faded color). I did have problems with all the bulbs working at the same time. checked that all the bulbs lit before I installed the light set. once installed I noticed 1 bulb unlight. had to remove light from saddle bag and then ~10 screw to get to the bulbs. Had to manipulate the bulb contact to make a good connction to the socket. reassembled and then a different one was out. had to take it all apart again. this time checked all the bulbs. all worked fine ...for now. It's a big pain in the B hind, but check that all the bulb connections will make good connection to the socket before you install the lights on the bike. You could save yourself some frustrations later. |
