LEFT L.E.D. Vertical Rear Light Strip
| The red run & brake lights fused with a subtle blend of chrome & perfectly contoured for the rear of my 2014 GL1800 is awesome. They looked great. I bought these back in June 27, 2014 mainly to provide as much light as possible on my bike to make me visible during night riding. They do Justice. However, I just noticed that my left LED light strip KU3247, the bottom section of the LED are not working. This has made me very upset cause I expected a long life from these LEDs. These lights are mounted with a 3M adhesive and now my concern is removing it to replace it. First, I would hope these lights are under warranty. They are merely 6 months old with maybe less than 50 hours of usage. I'm kind of dissapointed but I hope I can get it replaced as soon as possible by Wingstuff.com |

Back Rest - 3 out 5 rating
| I purchased this Item to install on my new 2014 GL1800. I do quite long distance riding and the need for a back rest is a MUST. I had one in my previous GL1800 but from another manufacturer, which to install you need to modify the OEM seat. I didn't want to go through that task again so I purchased the one from Kuryakin. There are three CONs that I don't particularly liked with this item. One is that the backrest has like a pouch that is retained by adhesive backing. The pouch seemed to be falling as the adhesive melts or softens in hot days. Living in Florida this is an issue. Second all the braket screws that holds the backrest to the bracket has exhibited a brown discoloration, like rust. This is visible as it has a high contrast to Chrome. Finally, the bracket arms holding the backrest are too wide or big that is uncomfortable to the passenger; specially if it is a female. All in all, I gave this item a 3 out of 5 for functionality. It does what I bought it for; to support my back. I would rated lower for appearance and quality. |

Chrome finish is pitting after 6 months of use
| I purchased these when I bought my new 'wing in Jan 2014. Chrome after 6 months started to exhibiting pitting. These are my second set of these floorboards w/heel shifter which have had the same issue. I'm still under warranty but just the fact that I have to go through the incovenience of taking them off and taking them back to the dealer for replacement/repair is not fun. Kuryakin should consider having a better source to apply their chroming process to their parts. I will be taking the new ones when replaced or repaired to have the chrome removed and have them black powder coated. Kuryaking should have them made in black powder coated as an option. |

Sounds Great but RUST issues w
| The slip-ons on the GL1800 definitely sounds tougher and look great but very dissappointed. I had these slip ons installed at the Dealer when I purchased my new 2014 Goldwing. Within the first 2000 miles I noticed in the right slip-on where it gets strapped to the stock muffler a brownish discoloration. Being technical and knowing about metals, it was clearly evident that it was oxidation, which is the first phase to rust. This is not good. Furthermore, I'm dealing now with COBRA. Their warranty process is that you need to send them the pipe for their engineers to look at before they can determine a warranty repair. Get ready for a two week process. This definitely does not give me a good feeling about these pipes. If I had the opportunity, I would definitely go with the Monster SLip-Ons from Vance & Hines. |

| I bought this item to complete my Goldwing 2005 chrome accents. The first thing when I opened the item was to overlay it on the dash to see the fit. As expected, it was not a good fit. I read the provided instructions carefully. As instructed, I manually formed the dash accent to fit as best as possible to the dash. That meant that manually you have to bend the accent in a way to get the best fit. Once I felt that the accent was formed top conform to the profile of the dash, I cleaned the dash with rubbing alcohol, removed the tape backing from the accent and placed it on the dash (I noticed that the tape was kind of thin) I put pressure for about 5 minutes throughout the accent. After 1 week of used, it started to lift up by the right corner and in the middle. I was disappointed. I try to remove it from the dashboard. In certain areas it was really adhered to the surface. After carefully putting pressure/force to pull it from the dash,the accent broke in two areas. Being technically oriented, this item should have been assembled with thicker and stronger adhesive tape. Having to remove it from its location once is installed, your chances of this part braking is increased tremendously. The accent is already stressed by the forming process, specially in the thinner sections, to make it fit properly to your dash that when needing to remove in a case like mine the part will brake on you. Highly dissapointed with this item!!! |

| I'm biker Manny. I'm writing this review not on behalf of the product (GL1800 Chrome Fairing Molding)I recently purchased from WINGSTUFF.com but the customer service I received from them. I received a call from their customer service department immediately as soon as I posted my review of this product. They were responsive, curtious and willing to resolve my complaint immediately. Rick from WINGSTUFF had call the manufacturer,which in this case was SHOWCHROME, to discuss the issue of my complaint. Rick put me in contact with Wally from SHOWCHROME. After discussing the issue with Wally from SHOWCHROME, they were willing to provide me with another set at no charge immediately. This is customer service from both the distributor and the manufacturer. I look for these qualities when I purchase over the internet. However, based on my design knowledge and years of experience, I declined the offer. I believe this product does have design issues with the tabs that can be improved. The current design can induce failure (tabs snapping off) resulting in a nonfunctional item. I provided constructive feedback to SHOWCHROME with the hoped they can address the issue. I certainly will purchased this product if they fix the issue in the near future for mu GOLDWING 1800. I will certainly continue buying products for my Goldwing from WINGSTUFF.com. | Reading the reviews for this product and the rating it had, I decided to buy it with looking forward to adding this accessory to my Wing 2005. I'm an engineer by trade and I know about designs and manufacturing. I can tell you this, as I tried to install it, one of the center tabs just broke off. I was so pissed off!!!! After carefully analysing it, I noticed that the design of the tabs does not provide a stress relief to allow some flexing of the tabs as you insert them into the slots. Not having this feature,like a passive hinge,makes this part very prone to failure. You will run the risk of breaking off the small plastic tabs very easily. They seemed very brittle to me as well. Furthermore, this Part is NOT user friendly when removing from its packaging. I just spend $54.00 in junk. Therefore, for all you bikers interesed in this part, I encourage you NOT to invest in purchasing this item. I wish I could get my money back!!!!! |
