How Difficult Is It To Ride A Gold Wing?

2023 ’wing
Hadn’t had a bike for 30 years, did a refresher course and bought a VFR1200F. Now that bike wanted to go fast! Had it for 2 and a half years. Wife wasn’t a massive fan so decided to grow up and bought a new Goldwing. 600 miles in, what a revelation! Smooth, relaxing, comfortable and did I say, smooth? Sweet spot seems to be 70-75mph, wife is protected from the wind, we both love it. Yes, it’s heavy but the weight nearly disappears when riding. As others have said, I’ll take the time to practice slow manoeuvres.

I like the helmet, it’s comfortable, good air vents, stable when flipped up but, when closed, it’s a bit noisier than I’d like. The integrated Sena SRL2 fits well but the on/off buttons aren’t great.
