Progressive Heavy Duty Fork Springs for GL1500
ITEM CODE: TR771522,   SKU: TR771522

03.31.2012
Adds a lot of stiffness to the front end… This is a good thing too as I found the stock to be mushy. I have an ‘89 GL1500 and I installed my progressives back in 06’. Added air to the forks too as my ‘89 did not have this feature. This combination makes for a very responsive sporty front suspension for such a big bike. Taking the old ones out and installing the new ones can be a bit tricky. If you’re doing this at home this is a two person job. One of the two should be a pretty hefty bubba to get the spring back in without tearing up any threads inside the fork.

Motorcycle Tire Ceramic Balancing Beads
ITEM CODE: PG27738

While not a bad concept I swear I could feel the front bounce a bit when stopping (30mph down to the last few mph.).. This was likely due to the weight becoming unbalance in the dynamic shift of the beads. Now I like twisties or turns so tight that the RPM’s are wound out but you can't take the curve much faster than 25mph. This also seemed to be the speed the dynabead would cease doing their thing. Maybe some of this was my imagination but I did give'em a try with the new tire for about 1200 miles and just didnt like them too much. Maybe these beads are great for sportbike riders on a race track or straight highway long haul riders. Just not for me though so I went back to the old weights. Now what I may do is, later as the tire ends it's lifespan, say into the last 1500 miles then I may slip the beads back in to make up the difference as a tire may wear out of round.

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! This makes it so easy to fill the front forks with exactly the amount needed. It the hose was about 2" longer I'd give it 6 stars.

Premium AGM Sealed Westco High Amp Battery for GL1800 GL1800 Premium AGM Battery
ITEM CODE: WEWCP20L,   SKU: WEWCP20L

Figured I'd wait to see how the battery performed after a couple of months... In stalled about 7 months ago and it's doing great. With the cable alignment issue... Either Alzheimer’s has onset with me at 45 or it just wasn’t that big of a deal. I seem to recall having to make some minor adjustments by following a previous members suggestion. (A very old posting here) See with a bit of preparation it was not that big of a fight to install.

The wife was trying to get me to save a buck all these years with an "I don’t need those... Don't waste the money." I finally broke down and got them last year and while won’t admit it I can tell she's got a more comfortable ride with these. Let's face it we ain't getting any younger so a more comfortable ride means the more miles we can get down the road.

Obviously a good place to stash stuff. Rode with them for about twoo weeks and I didn't really like the look of how they were aligning up wiht the Armrest pad. Had to pull them back off and take a drill to wallow out the mount holes a bit. Expanded the holes by about 1/8" allowed more mounting adjustability. Wouldn't really mark down the product as it is listed as a "Universal". Plus my mod only took about 5 minutes for each side and it looks perfect now.

Deluxe Luggage Rack Bag w/Rain Cover
ITEM CODE: WSRACKBAG,   SKU: WSRACKBAG

Wow! With a fantastic price like this how do I have a right to complain??? Well folks try to look at it like this… “Feedback for Product Improvement”. (I don’t know for sure but I can only assume this was a custom bag produced for you guys at WS since it has such good quality features like the WS Saddlebag liner set.) Perhaps the designer had an intention why it zips down the middle like weather proofing or something I’m sure. However for ease of access I wonder if the bag wouldn’t be better if the zipper was designed open like a 3/4 box top zipper. (Similar to the WS Trunk bag) I have only used for a short month now and have say darn good bag for my sleeping bags. Just the overall quality and durability will last a long time. Way above what I expected so even though I wish there was a different zipper on it I’ll still give it 5 stars and recommend it to all my Harley ridin’ Buds.

Saddlebag & Trunk Luggage Liners (Sold Each)

Well made product with weaterproofing on the inside. The size is perfect for the 1500. Even stuffed to the gills it still leaves just enough space to just lay it in place in the saddle bag.

Wow... Ive had mine for about 18 months now. Within 2 weeks I had a bulb go out too. I wasnt happy about that since I was on a 12 day road trip in Hokkaido, Japan. Found a Honda shop and fixed it. They are a pretty comon bulb here. (Not sure if this helps but I think it's because they are used on a lot of Honda Mopeds.) I finally had to replace my second bulb on it yesterday. As for the rest of the kit... I like it for the additional visibility and think it's worth it.
