I has the same problems that several others have with both the tape and the cam lock. Very poor instructions. I love the look and feel of the grips but the installation was the pits. |

Adhesive tape is useless. The instructions say to rub one side to activate it but which side? I chose the easy side first but despite having cleaned the OEM grips it only just stuck. The tape was then so stuck to the other backing piece I have to remove it completely to get that off. Needs much more thought. Once the tape was worked out the right (throttle) grip went on real easy but the left one was a pain. I got the cam in the right position, but every time I did the end bolt up the two halves sprang apart again. Had to remove them to work out what was wrong. One half was trying to squeeze up on the other (at the cam end) the result being it was trying to bend the grips. Fixed it by sawing a washer in half and sticking that in the gap. A right pain to install properly. Haven't ridden with them yet but they're huge. Kuryakyn, listen up please. I have more problems with your products than anyone else. |

These grips look and feel great & are a big improvement over the stock grips. However, the corners of the black rubber pads have a tendency to pull loose. Its a pain, but they are easy enough to reinsert. Kuryakyn is still "looking into the problem." |

well i am gald that i read the reviews before i order them ,so I put the left side on 1st.I had the same problem has some of the others,so this is what needs to be done ,take the bar end weight that you took off in step 2 and on the left side push it back in the grip and turn it until you line up the cam that is in it so it will line up with the new grip,it will turn. before you put on the tape make sure it will fit right if not ajust it some more until it will. |

first of all, the instructions are not very clear. Tells you to identify the right and left front and back, but they are unmarked. I finally got them on and they fit good. But man are these suckers BIG I wear XXL gloves and they are too big for me/ i am not sure if I will keep them. Taking a weekend ride and will see if I get used to them. Also very slick in the rain. |

When I tried to install them the right grip installed very well. The left side kicked my butt trying to use the cam that was supposed to be installed. I could not get the grips to fit correctly. After fighting with them for awhile I noticed the tape had no adhesive left on them either, so I took them back to the Dealer and asked them to see if they could get the grips to fit correctly. I told them that I could not squeeze them together to get a tight fit. Well to make a long story short...they tried it and could not do it. They ended up removing the cam and retaping the grips and then they fit perfectly. Kuryakyn needs to redo their instructions to eliminate the cam. They will install easily once you know not to use it. |

WASTE OF MONEY UNLESS YOU HAVE HANDS LIKE KING KONG. RIGHT-LEFT? HOW ABOUT THROTTLE AND CLUCH SIDE. ADHESIVE IS JUNK. TOOK THEM OFF AND PUT INTO THE WASTE OF MONEY DRAWER. HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THE NEW & IMPROVED MODEL. LOVED THEM ON MY 1500. |

I think the product make the bike look a lot better. I didn't put the cam in the fit was tight should not need the cam to keep it from rotating. The direction are misleading right and left should be clutch or throdle sides. If I do need the cam I hope that I will be able to get them apart. They do fit very well. |

i really do not know why everyone is unhappy with this product...installed the way the directions advised...have heat, no extra glue, feel comfortable...stay where they supposed to....love the large grips and added a throttle boss |

My experience is like many of these: the adhesive was junk and the rubber keeps coming out of the housing. I used these for 1500 miles and had to work the rubber back into the housing on about every stop. I am very disappointed that Kuryakyn turned out a product like this. |

I have to agree with Berry and Larry. I was shocked at the way these fit. Kuryakyn didn't test these before they put them on the market. The grips feel great and do fit my hand without cramping. I have tested the heat and it does work, just not as fast as without, but that only makes since. I got some 3M two sided tape and they worked fine. DON'T use the crap they give you. not sure it would hold paper togather. So far I'm pleased with these, but I'm keeping my eye on the rubber. I also installed the throttle boss and they fit great and work great. As with Berry and Larry, I can only give this product 3 stars substandard tape provided. I expected better from Kuryakyn. |
