These rests look extremely nice installed. Instructions are better than average for Kury, but expect to take 3 hours or more for installation. When I opened the package, it didn't look like it was gonna take that long, but it most certainly did. My brackets didn't sit flush in the side pockets and called Kury about it. They wanted me to return the whole unit to the dealer (about 100 miles away) for a new one. When I got BACK to the dealer, the brackets were identical... thanks Kury for a reason to put another 200 miles on my bike. However, as a note, after everything was tightened down, the brackets seemed to bend and twist a bit for a tight fit. Measure twice, drill once. My best success with the bracket was to set it flush on the bottom and the back, leaving the outside pressed against the pocket wall, but not flush. When you drill your holes on the outside of the pocket, drill a little further in and use your drill bit to "mark" your drill holes on the bracket. Use a very small bit for a pilot hole to prevent "bit drift" so that you don't have to ream holes out to make a good fit. You can use a sharpie marker instead of a center punch if, like me, you don't have one. When drilling on the left side of the trunk (if you don't have a CB already), use the little raised nipples on the inside of the trunk as your guide. Again, start with a small but for a pilot hole and use masking tape on the painted surface to prevent scratching from the drill shavings. My wife loves these arm rests. The drink holder is adequate and very nice if you use the supplied koozie. It is true that if you want to fully access your trunk you have to swing these out, but with them in, you can access your trunk about 12 inches. Not enough to put your helmet in, but more than enough to retrieve smaller items like gloves, mail, etc, but if you want it to stay open, you have to swing the arms out. One last item is that you WILL LOSE your stock mounting position for the passenger audio cord bracket. I did NOT like the idea of wedging it between the seat and the pocket, so I moved the bracket to a horizontal position just above the bottom of the left passenger pocket door. It looks pretty stock there and keeps the cord from rubbing on your bags. If you do this, make sure that you measure your holes so that when you open the pocket door, it will go all the way down. Feel free to contact me for a photo of this. [email protected] Almost 4 stars for Kury's ignorance to the 1800 bracket fitment issue, but since it looks so nice and still installs tightly, it gets the full 5. |

Bought a set of these but never bothered to put them on as every time you want to open the trunk you have to swing them out of the way, becomes a bit of a pain if you frequentley use the trunk. |

I am very happy with this product. The person that was riding with me gave it to me as a gift and had it installed at the dealer. He loves it and so do the grand kids. I am more at ease with them behind me as they are more secure as well comfortable. |

Excellent product well crafted, reasonably easy to install. Had the same problem with the inside support bracket not fitting flush. However, I shimmed with a few washers and it is very tight. Wife loves it. On my VTX 1800 I had the Ultimate passanger seat with arm rests. This is far superior in functionality and appearance. |

Looked at all the others and went with this one. still looking for a cup that will fit it but a can in the supplied insulator does well. A little trickey to put on, it took about 1.5 hours to install the right side and .5 on the left. Alot of the time was spent running back to the tool box to get a different size tool, work close to your tool boxn (my pool table was in the way). As stated earlier there are marks inside the trunk to drill the holes for the left side if you look very close. My wife seems to like them, she hasn't complained and that's a good sign. 5 stars after the install, directions pretty clear. Don't try to skip any steps. Install the inner bracket in the cubby hole drill the other holes, mark the bracket and remove it to drill the two holes in it. If your like me, I love working (adding accessories) on my wing so installation time is not a factor. |

Just put these on the bike. The right side came out a tad lower than the left, but I didn't even notice until the woman pointed it out when she sat up there. Not sure how that happened, but it's tolerable. I mounted them on a 2009. Not sure if earlier models had the same thing, but the brackets inside the storage compartment do not fit flush against the sides. There is a little space which also means very little thread to get the nut on as well. This may have been the cause of a slightly un-even mount for me. Keep in mind, it very well could be the installer himself :) Still very pleased with the purchase and outcome. |

I have had these on my bike for two years. They still look great. They do make the rear passenger feel more secure. Very sturdy and well built. The only problem I have had is with the drink holder. The allen wrench bolts on the side of the drink holder comes loose with every use. Needs tightening frequenly. Also some smaller drink containers has a potential risk of falling through the bottom. Otherwise I am very pleased with this product. |

My wife loves these things but I'm not so thrilled. They have to be "deployed" to open the trunk or risk breaking the hinges. However, they are quality built and look good. After a few rides in the rain they require a little lubricant to keep them from squeaking. |

These are nice heavy duty rest that adds chrome and a sleak look to your bike. Very nice for your better half and will give her a more sence of security. It doubles as a cup holder for you too! Just a squeese on the knee and you'll have a cool one passed up to ya. These were easy to install but after I had to tweek the inside brackets to lay flat against the back and bottom of the cubby compartment. I like the bullet hinge. It's pretty beefy with a nice finish. You have to get use to swinging them out of the way to get into the truck though. I give them a two thumbs up. |
