The install only takes a few minutes per side if you don’t transfer the reflectors. After spending $1000 I wasn’t going to drill holes to mount the reflectors. I made my own template and will use reflective tape. I love the extra space. Once I can take a long trip I will decide if I want the trunk lid.
This is a lot more convenient than I thought it would be! For someone like me that carries a lot of 'might needs' around with you all the time, this is a great place to keep the smaller items that tend to roll around in the trunk (spare eyeglasses, flashlight, wiping towel/rag, Momma's vanity mirror, etc.)
Lots of good points on this cover: The material is very dense and keeps the sun and rain off well, the elastic around the bottom holds up very well, and the 'pocket' for the windshield lets it fit much better (be sure to open that up!)The only down side would be the placement of the nylon web strap for tying it on. It falls directly onto the hot pipes and I burned through mine in short order. I ride my Wing pretty much daily and always cover it in the parking lot to keep the Florida sun off. Waiting for the pipes to cool isn't an option I can afford every day. If this is just a garage cover or a long term outdoors cover, it's a great piece of gear! (Just make sure the pipes are cool before installing...)
I've tried many brands of tires on my Gold Wings over the years. Some wear longer but ride worse and some ride a bit better but wear out a good bit faster. Bridgestone's are that happy medium and combine good wear time with a great ride! I replaced mine at 12,000 miles, only because I live in central Florida where it rains a LOT and the previous set were getting to the wear bars. There were still many miles left on them, but prudence won out over stretching a dollar.
I got this charger plug for my 2008 GoldWing. I put the charger in the trunk so I can charge my cell phone on the bike while eating at Burger King. Can't do this with one in the glove box the bike has to be for that lighter to work.
This trim chrome piece looks so good on the front of my bike.
I got this fuse panel for my 2008 GoldWing. This thing just what you need when adding more electrical items than you put on the positive side of the battery.
Got the lights installed. Took me some time. But that’s OK. They look very nice. Now I need to ride at night , To really check out the lights. Glad I got theses.
Awesome secure device. Easy to install , One hand operation while driving, highly recommend.
I am very pleased with these mirrors. Installation was very easy. They are a nice upgrade to my 2008 GL1800.
These pegs have great functionality along with great aesthetics.... My wife being 5' 2" tall find them most accommodating for not only repositioning her legs during long rides but use them to help stabilize the ride during windy conditions..... Very easy to install and all for an appealing price.
I got this to charge portable devices like my helmet Bluetooth. I put it in the trunk. It works great for me. Thanks
