I’m on my second light. The sticky stuff that holds it to the trunk lid wasn’t holding on the first one and the wire harness wasn’t long enough to reach the isolation block. A new one was sent and I called big bike parts for advice. I did everything they said like bending in the middle so it would fit the contour better. It was fine when I first installed it. I haven’t been for a ride since. The hot weather here in CA has caused the ends to start lifting again. Also the harness on the new one was long enough to reach the isolation box. I’m past the point of going to something else. The hole is drilled. I don’t understand why they just don’t make it with a little more bend.
This is a great product, really gets the attention of the drivers behind you. Motor officers have similar lights link to their brakes that tie into their emergency lights. Extremely helpful as an attention getter.

Instalked grip per instruction with exrt cleaning on factory grip. I had this grip beck off while trying to merge into traffic, by it backing off I had no throttle. Close call#1Close Call#2 left grip backed off in the twisty turn and almost straightened out the turn. Stopped then an remover grips. Oh they slide right off we no tools. Very poor design!!!Be safe if your riding them, the adhesive will not hold grip in place
| If you set the fitment (Your Bike: GL1800 1st Gen) this part will not fit your side stand. It is specific to GL1800s 2017 and up as seen in small print under description.. The set screw will just come out the backside and fall our without touching any metal. I think it best if you call in and order by phone as I will do tomorrow. I hope this gets fixed soon. | Cousin recently bought & installed these highway pegs. We took a short ride for the weekend on the way back the peg fell off the bracket(this is assembled by Rivco). He calls Rivco they say sorry not under warranty!!! What?? They are brand new assembled at RIVCO factory and the peg comes off. Thank goodness his foot wasn't on it when it happened could have been fatal. I have purchased RIVCO products in the past but after this- no thank you! |
Tried a couple of other brands before I settled in with these Bridgestones. I have gone through 5 sets averaging about 9,000 per rear and about 15,000-17,000 on the front. The Wing loves the twisties and these tires have performed really well over the years. Wet weather has not shown any slippage but I generally cut my speed a little to compensate. Drove home to Alabama 1 year from Pennsylvania and the treads were showing by the time I got home in a couple of areas (can you say stupid). Anyway, these tires have never let me down---highly recommend! By the way, I usually ride with wife and a FULL load for which I add a couple of LBS of air.
I have been very satisfied with the upgraded custom rear shock. The motorcycle handles much better. I bought a 2001 GL 1800 in 2020. It had some age. I noticed the rear shock wasn't raising or lowering the bike throughout the full adjustable range. I decided to upgrade to this shock and am very pleased. The installation would have been impossible without a shop manual. My only complaint is that the shock didn't come with any instructions and I still have a metal rod that was stuck through the bottom bracket that I'm not sure what to do with. I imagine it was for lining the bracket up with the bolt holes. The total installation (from initial plastic removal to test drive) took about 12 hours. I did this alone and would not recommend that for others. If you can get some help with the install, do that! The shock adjusts the bike's height through the whole 1-25 range and is noticeably more stable during turning and takeoff.
I've run Bridgestone for all my replacement tires on my Wings. I got 16K on my 2008 Wing, front and back tires, about one set every year. My 2018 Wing I get about 15K on the rear and 17K on the front for the first 2 sets of tires, on my 3 set now. I always run the Dyna Beads and get great tire wear with no cupping. Thank you Wingstuff for being my go to guys for my Goldwings, KC.
I've always had great tread life and consistant wear running these Bridgestone tires on my Wing! I needed a new rear after finding a road hazard gash.... Ordered after lunch and the tire was on my porch nin less than 48 hours! Thanks WingStuff! I'm safely back on the road!
