It's the dead of winter here in Michigan so I have not tried the headset but I see no reason that it will not work with my new half-helmet. I will have to let you know in the spring how it's working.
We've been getting a lot of rain is sunny California lately. Even when the rain stops, the roads still have dirt and debris on them. This fender extension had helped to keep that junk off the front of the engine. This is a functional accessory!
What a nice finish to the rear fender. Installation was simple after drilling a 3/4" hole in the plastic to feed the wires through. Nice and bright!
The frame gives the rear of the bike a great "finished" look. The hardware kit was missing one of the flat washers. They're stainless so, I had to pause assembly and head down to Ace hardware. There is a single screw to attach the bottom of the plate cover to the base plate. The plate will shift and move a little even when the screw is tightened completely. I added a small stainless washer and re-tightened screw, problem fixed!
It would be hard to give this lighting kit anything but 5 stars. You must have this plug and play kit to complete the installation for the led filler lights which I highly recommend.
First off, these filler lights really add presents to the rear of the bike, very bright and well made. However, I found that the positioning instructions (lining up marks) doesn't put the lights in the exact location based on the curvature of the saddlebag. I had to slightly reposition them before I locked them down.
Very , very, easy to install. Looks great black finish, matches bike perfectly. Solid feel when deployed on ground.
Easy install and is a must have to keep your GL back end clean.
Installation is easy until you find the four screws used to secure the pegs are missing. Don't try to call the toll free in the instructions because it takes you to a different company (866 277 9598). If you go to Kuryakyn's web site and try emailing them they will not reply to your email. If you call them (real toll free in Kuryakyn web site) they will tell you they only have one employee (yes, only 1) reviewing support emails. But they will tell you they'll get back to you: nothing after 4+ days. Yesterday I contacted Wingstuff and they were nice. They promised they will call me with a solution but I am still waiting. Long story short, I have not been able to complete the installation of this highway pegs I bought for my birthday. For the record. These are the missing parts: * Two (2) - 5/16-18 X .75 Socket Head Cap Screws: 5/16-18 X 1.0 SHCS * Two (2) - 5/16-18 X 1 Socket Head Cap Screws: 5/16-18 X .75 SHCS Stay away from anything smelling Kuryakyn: QA is really bad, their customer support is even worst.
I had heard a lot of good things about this backrest, and I was not thrilled with the backrest that was already installed on my new to me GoldWing (2018). I purchased and installed the Utopia, and it was a very straightforward install. I have ridden about 500 miles with it so far, and I am pleased. I think at this point I have to get used to backrests. Once I do, I expect to be very pleased with it.
Installed this today on my 2012 and it is a lot easier than changing the air filter. Comes with a protective film on the two parts and once you get that off your halfway there. It went where it is designed to go witjout much fussing around. Cons - I don't care for the way it just sits on the lip of the front lower cowling and it leaves a big gap on both sides on the front end of it. Debris probably won't get in there but they are there. I didn't find the edges dangerously sharp, a lot less dangerois than when I worked in sheet metal. I believe it will do what it is designed to do. Too bad we can't post images of what we write.
some items can make a bike just look out of place, but these rotor covers look like they belong and adds a finishing touch. easy install.
