This is a good, strong, functional and great looking rack. I use the Kuryakyn luggage bag designed for this rack and they are a great combo. I agree with the other folks on this site: Assuring the exact hole placement is critical for this install. Not that hard, but check and re-check before drilling. A thought (not claiming to be exactly right on this one): This device is clearly designed for a greater than five lb load limit. I suspect there is more legal stuff that drive such a limit. Now my Harley is another matter ... The "tour pack" has fallen off twice when the vibration eventually cracked the support frame tubes, even though the trunk held only a quart of oil, a security chain/lock and a rag. As The Motor Company likes to say - it is about the "adventure." Perhaps for some folks. I have taken to chroming my H-D parts so I can find them when the fall off. The tour pack? Easy to find - it is on the end of the wiring that is pulling the darn thing behind the bike across I-40. Ride Safe, Ron "Hammer" Young "Until they are home ... " JPAC |
| This is another bit of necessary lighting that should be standard equipment. Installation is straight-forward, although the template is off a little. The color is a little darker than the bike, but the bike is two years old. The biggest problem I had was converting the metric hole sizes to my US drill bits. |
| This kit is well done; everything you need is included. Installation is not difficult. I think it's a worthwhile addition, but I was disappointed in the brightness of the lights. They're small light bulbs, not standard tail/turn bulbs. Maybe converting them to LEDs would help. |
