I just added this to my 08 wing. It is a job to line up the hole, but it looks great once its on. I also added the Kur. timeing cover. Love the look. |
| Very nice to have if you ride in multi lane traffic. Now I have a signal cars next to me can see. They are bright enough that you can see their light on the road while riding. Nice to hear the guys at the local shop not only like them, but hadn't seen them before. Nice to have a different item on the street. |
| Looks good. Easy install. I bought for convience at those pesky toll booths. Unfortunately, the capacity is too little to be much help. After 2 or 3 toll stops, it will be empty. |
| Looks great and not to hard to install AFTER you figure it out. The instructions are not very clear and different sockets are needed than listed in the insructions. All in All however the hitch itself feels strong and looks great. Instructions need to be more detailed, pictures were not clear and the listed tools are not the correct sizes needed. |

| I installed this yesterday on my 2006. It was exactly as the instructions said. Cut the 30mm hole exactly as marked on the outside of the box and shown in the installation. The plug in connector is combined with the Aux plug in connector, under a black rubber cover. Easy connection and works as advertised. NOte: Hole cuts on the 2006-2008 are cut in a different angle of the box (corner), than on the end with 2005 (and below) models. Works when the key ignition is on or on ACC setting. Turn off when key is turned off. Highly recommend this and it should be standard. Installed in about 30 minutes. |
| I ordered this meter yesterday. I read all of the product reviews and found many people had problems finding the electrical connector. So, I immediately went out and took my right fairing box key cover off. After much search all over the place under the right hand connector box, I was almost ready to give up and cancel my order. THEN: to the left side, toward the ignition key, of the key cover panel was the connector. In plain sight and ready to plug into. It is a 1 inch square connector with several plug ins available, white in color. It is there on my 2006, so it should be there for all 2006-2008 models. You don't even have to take the right hand fairing box off, just take off the key lock panel, cut the hole in it, insert and plug in the meter and it should be ready. I will update on it after I get my meter delivered, hopefully in about a week. |
