I have not purchased this product yet. Will it interfere in any way with trailer light connections? Are there bulbs that are compatible with the trunk bulbs that will shine brighter?
Sehr gutes robustes Kabel.
I received this Kuryakyn Chrome Wide Kickstand on 5-12-08 and installed it after work at about 1230 am on 5-13-08. It took me all of 10 minutes to install it. The secret came from one of our Wingstuff members, after unbolting the original kickstand, slide it out of position with swing still attached. Take the new Chrome Wide Kickstand in hand, remove the old kickstand from spring and replace the new kickstand in it's place on the spring and place the new Kickstand in the socket of the mount. Replace the holding screw in bolt in large hole of the mounting bracket, put the locking nut back on the bolt, then replace the sensing wire bolt back over the top of the holding bracket bolt and enjoy your new Kuryakyn Chrome Wide Kickstand. It looks beautiful and is three times the size of the factory kickstand and it fits well with the added Kuryakyn driver floorboard. Good job Kuryakyn and good product.
Easy install. Works and looks great! Less buffetting on the freeway rides now. A great fit!
How True...A Lot of work for such a simple item. Once installed, I was impressed with the look. Now, after riding for a while, I see that the lower mounting areas have both broken off. If you look through the lower slots, the eyelet that the bolt goes through is all broken up. Why would you attatch a fixed object to brake calipers that "Float" (move) with braking. Unless I installed them terribly wrong, it does not make sense. Still have them on though. Rattle over every bump.
Fit is excellent! Good chrome, rubber is non-slip. Wife loves having the second position for her feet, and they make it a much nicer ride for the grandkids as well!
Nice finish... Great addition to the rear lighting... one thing a motorcycle can never have... too many lights!
All in all a great product. The only problemn I had was when pre-fitting, I broke one of the tabs...(pretty irritated at this point)After I finally found the piece, I used a little SUPER GLUE (great stuff)and let sit over night. Held perfectly and strong. No problem installing after that. I did put some rubber silicon in the holes to prevent water intrusion. This was one of the first products I put on my 07 and what a tranformation. 1 year on the road & 20,000 + miles. I didn't buy it to have it sit in the garage... RIDE SAFE
I love this thing. At first I was skeptical about spending that much on a cup holder. I just finished a 1100 mile two day ride and this thing has proven to be worth every cent. Keep the drinks cold for a long time and so easy to use while riding. Only thing I wish was that I had bought it sooner. I'll be getting one for my passenger as soon as I finish writing this.
I found this item to be kind of interesting. I received it today and promptly attached them to my mirrors. Installation is very easy however, you need to take real care in properly placing them the first time(you don't realy get a second chance)But, after all that I like them. They are plastic and hopefully will last a long time.
This is a nice heavy piece. It is metal and not plastic like a lot of the other items. Just seems that it could fit a little better at the corners (that's the reason for 4 stars instead of 5). Very easy install, less then five minutes.
Took a couple of hours to install, but I am probably a little more mentally challenged than most. But my wife really likes them and I feel safer with the grandkids on the back. You get use to swinging them out of the way to open the trunk. This was the last item installed from my first order from WingStuff. Very pleased so far.
