Put this on last week, very easy to install.. I have bad knees and this took a lot of presure off of them... This is a must have for long rides...
I think these look great and I have used them myself on the highway when I kicked back and put in cruise to Sturgis! Nice..
I had these bearings installed along with new tires and the wabble in the front end is almost gone. These helped take out the wabble Im sure. I only sense a wabble if I let go of the bars slowing down at 30 or 25 mph.,but other wise not a sign of it. Im still getting involved on the web with a class action suite against Honda to hopefully reimburse this factory defect.
Wish i had known about this product before the wing. I detail just about everything other than seats and chrome. Havent used anything else yet, easy on and great for touchup on that quick trip. One can and a microfiber cloth and your set. Best i ever used on a motorcycle.
I ordered a 2x and they sent me a 3x. I sent an e-mail and it went unanswered. I had to order another one. I guess i will grow into the 3 x later on in my life.

Any self proclaim GoldWing mechanic needs one of these! But the pages are much thinner than the old 1500 manual I have. I wonder how well they can stand greasy hands. I know of a DVD that contains the maint manual plus 'How to' videos and parts catalog. I don't know if it's available to the public but then, I would end up with a greasy keyboard... |
Like TAL said, the template is wrong (at least for the 2008). I didn't see the marks TAL mentioned so I had to make my own template which was a little off. No problem, the extra holes are under the rubber part of the spoiler feet and nobody knows.

I should have checked Google like Gary suggested, removing the trunk was a real pain! Actually, putting it back was the real pain. Make sure you note down exactly where the existing harnesses path go even if it looks obvious when you unplug everything because it might not be that obvious when you put everything back together. Or better yet, follow Gary's advice. Another big waste of time (my fault) is finding where the capacitor modules go. There are 3 of them but 1 is different. That's the one I was using when looking for the two front matching plugs. The only similar plug in front is for the hand grip heaters. After a few hours of frustrations I opened up the maintenance manual and realized I was looking for the wrong kind of connector (yea, RTFM). After spending the day on this (and a few other accessories), I checked out (almost) everything and re-installed the front panel and seat only to find out that the display now says 'Antenna disconnected'. Somewhere under the covers, the Navi antenna is unplugged... Now I might get lost but at least I can tell my buddies I need a pit stop! |
What a difference! I'm a little disappointed that they didn't offer some sort of exchange for the longer arms. They were completely worthless for me with the long arms. Fit real good now though! Good product!
Easy to install and a great deal combining the VIP price and the Labor day special sale.
Mount is a little cumbersome and installation if you get it done is about the same as the armrest itself or a little higher. Otherwise product performs well, passenger is happy, Cup holder is snug and works well. Would recommend. Still new, will review again after time.
