After having this meter now for a few days I decided that it was a bad match for the bike. Just dosn't match any of the other instruments on the wing. Not even close.Never did install it. Plugged it in and looked at it. Disappointing.

it was quite a wait almost 7 weeks to get this back rest! said to myself this thing better be worth it.......it is Great!!! easy to install and very adjustable! I am very impressed with craftsmanship fit and finish are great! bottom line..... i would wait another 7 weeks knowing what i know now!!! pricey but better than anything else i have seen! |
I agree with comments below, it IS NOT as stable as the OEM center stand and I don't know why. It is not silly simple to reverse up on it. Must take your L leg off ground and on a slope that is a bit risky. Feet not rounded enough to grab all surfaces and many times it will "scoot" along in reverse. Reverse seems to struggle a bit getting it up and over on the slightest incline. Overall just okay. Much better however for my wife's wing as she can now get it on this center stand and the OEM one was impossible. With proper expectations you may be happy with it.
There is a noticeable difference in the sound from the engine and the noise when shifting. The bike really feels like it is shifting smoother. Don't forget to empty the crankcase drain (read your manual)at every oil change as well. All in all very happy with this brand of oil.
Nice addition to the tool box and is small enough that you can find a spot for it on the bike. If you intend to follow the manual and torgue the filter to 20 ft lbs then you'll need a spring scale. I always tighten to speck as working in the aviation world you see the importance of using reccommended torque values.
AS advertised. Looks sharp, but take your time installing. They have edges that could potentially dig into your paint.
Not sure if it was worth the work or money. Lots of screws to remove. Took quite awhile for the first armrest, once the one side was installed the other was a snap. The lock washers were difficult to remove from the posts that hold the upper portion of the covers on. Took awhile to figure out that there are two clips in the front of the speaker grille that had to be removed before the two halves could be seperated.

Had both sides installed within about 45 minutes. (never installed pegs before) Very comfortable and the swichblade is nice as you move the weight of your foot from the peg (middle of your foot) to your heal. |
Don't like it at all. I guess I did not realize it was a marine unit. Could not get the light to function. It could have been a defective unit. I bought a car volt meter locally. It was a breeze to install in the exact hole I drilled for the marine unit. Looks great. Displeased with the Honda marine meter.
Good cover. I bought this then decided to go with the half cover. I can use the half cover to cover the bike without waiting for the bike to cool. I ride to work everyday and the half cover is more practical. But for an extended need to cover the bike this works well for the money.
I use this all the time and get laughed at by the "Harley" people at my job. This protects my investment from the harsh Florida sun and from the many birds that hang around our parking lot. Bird crap in the radio control crevices are a pain to get out and the high acid in the feces damages the finish and leather. This is like a portable garage.
From what I see of the lights they are nice an will light up the bike, but I perfer the green lights to go with the color of my trike.
