This is a universal product not specifically made for the 1800 but it works well. If you have a vent on your windshield, you will have to raise the windshield up a couple of clicks to get the maximum capacity out of the bag. I use it to hold the windshield sock that Wingstuff sells to protect your windshield and dash from the sun. It holds it perfectly.
This review is of the front pocket version. Jims review is incorrect but I don't blame him for his assessment. The instructions don't come with this unit and you really are at a loss on where to put it. I also ordered the Hondaline genuine accessory front pocket outlet and the instructions there detail two locations for the plug. 01-05 place it at 12:00 straight ahead in the front pocket and the 06-up place it at the angled edge at 1:00 and have it pointing off to one side like the NNE postion on a compass. This clears the toe warmer cable. There is even a slight marking on the pocket to help you get the hole positioned right on the 06-up pocket. I only give it a 4 star rating because it didn't come with the wire sheath as pictured and no directions on installation. I wire wrapped it and now it looks like factory wiring.
This review is on the trunk installation version. I give it 4 stars because the item I received didn't contain any wire sheath like the picture shows so I wrapped the wires with electrical tape. Looks about the same as the factory wiring when you do that. The connectors are made for the trunk accessory plug and that is UNSWITCHED power. That means that this plug is HOT all the TIME. Keep that in mind when using it. The instructions tell you exactly where to drill the hole in the inner trunk lid. Pay very close attention and don't drift very far off from that location. It is a very tight fit up there due to the trunk unlocking module mounted up there on the underside of the inner trunk lid. After installation, I'm pleased it works well and I can now use it to recharge my camera batteries. I bought a 10 foot coiled extension cord so I can also use any small LED lighting device if I need too. It was a nice addition with good utility.
Simple install. Took more time to remove seat than to drill and install. Second antenna brings balanced look to the rear of the bike.
Simple plug and play. Save time and use a bit extender on a slight angle and u dont have to remove the trunk as instructed, to drill the wire hole. We (below rater Steve & I) did his 02 Wing first, then did my 09. Works great. Already had plastic off and it took less than an hour. If you have any mechanical ability, this will be an easy install for you. Dealer wanted $1200 for CB, antenna and install. Buy it here and save yourself $500 and you can buy me lunch.
Nice piece, quality is excellent, matches the am/fm antenna perfectly. I have the Kuryakyan armrests with drink holder and this antenna installs easily after removing the left side armrest completely and then tapping out the mounting cap and drilling a hole for the coax cable. 20 minute installation fairly simple.
Nice piece, quality is excellent, organizes the trunk nicely and makes room for more stuff. However, there is no doom for an open face helmet. 10 minute installation was breeze.
Nice piece, quality is excellent, dresses up the fender nicely and keeps the timing cover much cleaner. 10 minute installation was breeze.
nice product with and easy install, this will keep my "stuff organized" and actually free up space.
good product and easy to install, but I would like to see a few more locations to screw it into the cover. Overall very nice.
Great for the price!
Another great product! more to They aren't that bright during the day but as dusk approaches they seem to light up more and more like on a dimmer switch and highly visible at night..Not much more to say!
