Well I'm worried after reading the previous reviews. I did spray some anti corrosion material inside the housing where the spring is to try to preempt a breakage of the spring. Time will tell if that works. So far, I do like the fact that the mounts are designed to be out away from the rack so I can still put on my kuryakyn rack bag without interference from the flag pole. This was the main attraction of this setup for me (besides the folding feature). One of my biggest complaints is that I can't angle the flag pole to match the angle of the antenna. The flag pole will be straight up 90 degrees or off at a greater angle than the antenna. Also it isn't a 6x9 flag, its a 4x8 or some odd thing. I'm not sure what I will do when it's time to replace the flag. Probably try to make an extension for the pole to fit a standard 6x9 flag. |
Nice bag, well constructed with adjustable inside dividers. Doesn't come with velcro for attachment to the inside trunk wall but with sticky tape. I decided to not use the tape, that way the bag can still be removed for trunk cleaning. Holds a decent amount of stuff including a can of Honda cleaner polish for the windshield and spot cleaning while you're traveling.
I take this everywhere. Easy quick cleanup whenever you need it. Helps protect the paint. Its like the bugs just move out of the way now.
I had to add these to my 08' My long legs needed a place to stretch out. While they function well, They do give me that spread eagle feeling and the angle makes my knees sore. I may have to re-adjust them or find a short bone.
This really helps to keep the underside and the lower cowl clean. I took the fender off for drilling. Adds to the install time but insured that everything was level and secure.
For the price its good looking chrome, and does what it does. The only draw back is that the bolt head sticks out and is not flush with the bracket, this makes it look a bit bulky
This does make a world of difference in the look of the front end. It was a bit difficult to get everything to line up, but with some patience it goes just fine. Looks even better if you add the Kuryakyn chrome fender extender with it.
I was very disappointed in this product. Stupid me thought the stones would be shaped like the states but they're all round. They're also too large for the smaller states. I probably will not even mount this.
These look nice and are easy to install. The reviews about using the stock clips were helpful. I gave only 4 stars because they look "plasticy", but other than that I love them.
Lightweight and super easy to use. Made chaning the filter a snap with no need to remove any tupperware. Doesn't seem to fit well to the new Honda oil filter I got though... the old one fit like a glove, but the new one I needed to wiggle on and it scratched some of the powder coating off the new filter. Still a fantastic idea and saves a LOT of time.
If you are reading this review then you probably change your own oil. Why haven't you joined the VIP club yet? I saved $3.50 PER QUART over the honda dealer. This was installed at my first oil change and there is NOTICEABLE improvement in engine noise/knocking and shifting noise/smoothness. No reason not to buy this oil.
This is the ultimate in driver back rests. The stitching makes it look like it was installed there by Honda during assembly. The adjustability is serene and it really makes those long trips much more comfortable. I just got back from Daytona, and took 2 trips down there. This back rest made the trip dreamy. I was on the bike for a SOLID 3 hours at a time and no longer suffer from fatigued back muscles and lower back pain. It took a couple minutes to get used to it being there and being so supportive, but once I got over the "newness" it was like it was there all along. It truely makes your Wing a "La-z-boy on wheels". Installation was no cake walk though! I watched the Steve Saunders video before installation which helped, but there were still some difficulties during installation. I had a REALLY tough time getting the angle right when cutting down to the seat base. I had to make this cut a couple times. When you install it (if you have a '06+), make sure that when you measure that 2" back from the end of the drivers seat foam that you add an additional 1/2" because our seats have a small overhang of foam. I didn't do this and there is a small ripple behind the support bar in the seat, but it seemed to relax a bit when I bent the support bar a little. Despite the installation difficulties, this still gets 5 stars for being ultimately comfortable and looking JUST like the Honda stitching. If you are hesitant at all about cutting your seat, GET SOMEONE TO INSTALL IT. It is worth the price, hands down.
