This manual is very detailed and goes into information over load for me. I was suprised out how well laid out and detailed it is for everything from routine maintenance to engine overhaul. Great reference manual if your not afraid to get your hands dirty doing your own work.
I have read others mention that the fit and finish aren't as nice as Hondaline. I have also read complaints about the intall. I have to say that the install took me five minutes and the fit and finish look just like my am/fm antenna with exception of the chrome ball on top versus the red ball on the Hondaline antenna. Don't waste your money on the Hondalne antenna. This one is a great bargain. Plug and play with this and my new CB is up and working great in a few hours time along with many other new bike goodies.
This bag is well built and the zippers are very easy to work. I have a travel bag from Kurakyn that has great space but the zippers are extremely hard to operate. This is perfect in size for all the roadway and parking lot quick access items like rain suits, windshield cover, bike half cover and fleece lined helmet bags.
I haven't had a chance to play with the CB yet but the install was very straight forward based upon the reviews I read. The instructions as mentioned previously are not the greatest and I did not remove my trunk either. The CB is very plug and play so it was up and running in a very short while. I again want to thankt the previous reviewers becuase I didn't waste time looking for connectors that didn't match up. Everthing was a very easy install. I am pretty well mechanically inclined and already had a hole saw and other tools necessary for this job. My local dealer wanted eighty dollars for the install. Save yourself the money. It is straight forward.
I have to say I am very happy that I purchased this product. I wasn't aware of how susceptible I was to roadway hazards. I bought this as a precaution. As I was installing it I observed a rather large deformation in the lowere cowling from what appeared to be a large rock impact. Had that struck the resevoir tank it would have been game over. This product was a very easy install especially after watching the Utube video others have posted on here. Oh and thanks for the heads up from other posters. I wore the mechanics thin gloves and didn't lose any blood on this project.
I got tired of having the sore shoulder blades and aching back from rides that wouldn't even be over four hours long through our local mountains. I combined this back rest with the Kurakyn bar risers and I noticed an immediate difference. I had the bike well dissassembled anyway as I was installing the Hondaline CB radio and lots of other chrome goodies so the install of this and the risers were a breeze.

Wing Bling at it's finest! Very nice looking. Alot of pushing and pulling to get it mounted, but it went on ok.
Well.... this one was about as simple as it gets. Enough said.... Chrome cowl is a must.

If you order the riser kit too,you can remove the inner trunk liner and mount all four holes inside (all within the outer shell). That's what I did. But only two bolts will work from each kit, the other two are too long (made for going through the inner liner). Get a helper; set up the whole thing with risers on top of masking tape. Trace the big risers, "x" a center whole, then drill through that. You may want to get a rat tail file in advance to trim the holes, and I also used silicone goo, but you can make a mess with that real quick. It cleans up easy though. |
Very surprised! I was expecting a cheap headset that was good for CB use only and I recieved a very nice quality unit that sounds great for music too! My friends tell me the mic is crystal clear even at highway speeds. They do not try to blow off even at 115 mph. My only gripe is they are not as comfortable and do not fit as well as they should... thus 4 stars. The cord is a bit heavy for such a lightweight headset and tends to pull on the earpiece unnecessarily. But overall, I will get used to the fit and I am very pleased with their performance!
in a heavy rain seat cover leek through to seat and after 4th time installing cover it ripped on the seem of the pass. part of the cover ,IMHO waist of money .
