Its a great gadget when and it does it purpose. it's easily store in your tool kit compartment.
A must to have in your tool kit. Sometime when taking these push pin out, the inside/center pin tend to drop inside the engine compartment and never comes out until you get the motobike on the road. Keep a spare.
After one year of installation on my bike, the rubber grommet on the top of the base has shrunk (due to sun??) and now talking and hearing on the CB is nothing but static when I ride. Standing still, all works fine. The faster I go the more the antenna moves with the wind, and the more static I get. Not sure how to fix this other than to buy another antenna and see if it does the same thing in another year.
Work perfect, especially if you have rack on, no more lid movement, simple install, don't worry, just drill on the marks you make, I used a finishing nail and a tack hammer to mark the spots.

NO GOOD!!! Too much wind noise. Mic. stopped working after 6 months, returned and purchased JM HSBCD279UN much much better sound & no more wind noise, great buy!!!!! |
I used this on a 95 GL1500A. It stores my travel cover, gloves, and polishing rags nicely. It will touch the top of HJC helmets when closed. It has been a nice adddition to the trunk. I would put it on my next wing if it did not have it. It makes great utilization of otherwise wasted trunk space.
This charger has been around since the beginning of time, only it's improved. My neighbor got one from his grandpa years ago. It still works but beat up. I got him one for Xmas to replace the old one. What a cool device. Buy it!

I purchased this to match the one I ordered for the handlebar mounted drink holder. I really like it, but beware. IF YOU HAVE A MARKLAND BACKREST, THE BOLT TO ATTACH THE DRINK HOLDER TO THE BIKE IS TOO SHORT. I haven't been able to find a matching bolt long enough to mount it yet. The bolt needs to be about a 1/2 to 1" longer. Otherwise, I'd give this a 5. |
Installation was a snap. Product appears well made. Don't have anything negative to say about it. Works well.
Installed these a month or so ago. Really impressed. I'd recommend them.
Just replaced my old belly pan with this vented version due to a rock kicked up and put a large dent in my old pan. These belly pans are worth their weight in gold!! It saved my engine cases like it was designed to do. Would never ride without a belly pan after seeing how it protected the underside of my engine. That could have cost me thousands of dollars. Highly Recommend!! John
Installation was easy and as everyone else stated here, they should be standard equipment from Honda. Now my trunk lid closes properly and no more scratched paint. Buy these for your GL1800, you need them! John
