Installed this rack today. Great look on the bike! I found the installation instructions clear enough for a change. There are a few things I'd suggest: 1. Clarify product description on the riser topic. Based on reviews I ordered a set - and didn't need them. 2. Provide star washers to ensure the load is spread on the lid. 3. Some might find drilling holes at angles to match leg angles a challenge. Relax. If off a bit, drill a slightly larger hole. Which would be no issue if the washers were a tad larger. 4. And the biggest one: the rack comes with a sticker limiting weight to 5 lbs. Even Honda isn't THAT conservative. |

Installed these pegs this morning - substantial feel, quality fit, first-rate appearance. I found the instructions murky - literally - in that the photos were dark and, in one case, the written instructions pointed me to the wrong photo...cost one star in my rating. I'd also suggest adding pictures of the hardware to the "Included" list and clarifying the use of the three different washers. The assumption on Kuryakyn's part that installers will recognize the arcane references to the various fasteners makes little sense. I don't recognize a BSCS vs HHCS fastener. Also, the parts list indicates that the two major fasteners are the same diameter/thread pitch. They aren't! Finally, this accessory comes with several subassemblies pre-assembled- you won't find all the listed parts in the box unless you take these apart. These cost the pegs a second star. One personal preference - I found mounting the 2nd peg easier as I assembled it before attaching it to the bike. Looking forward to a trial ride soon! |
I ordered the other intake vents and didn't like the way it looked so I ordered this one and what a difference it makes the front look. It fits with no gaps on mine. Glad I exchange,it looks great to me. Got some compliments on it also. It adds that extra little class to the front of the bike.
It was very easy to put on. Tried a couple of dry runs before taking the tape backing off. You better make sure you put it where you want to, cause its not coming off very easy. Looks good..
do not buy,,bulbs dont last more than couple months, wingstuff does not carry or know wher to get better bulbs,i have called many times.
I bought a set in smoke color and installed on my 2004 blue wing. Combined with the upper fairing deflectors the system looks and works great!

I started using Plexus on my 1800 5 years ago with great results. I was recently persuaded to change to the Honda cleaner by someone at the counter of this store because it was cheaper and did the same job. Well, NO IT DOES NOT DO THE SAME JOB!!! Plexus works on everything including the windshield so you don't have to carry anything else. From now on I am sticking to what works the best.
I ordered the Gl1800 plug for the faring. The instructions were very clear for the removal of the pocket. I drilled the hole with a 7/8 bit and the hole was perfect. Locating the plug took a few moments as it was inside the moisture cover next to the aux input wire. Installation was very easy and the unit works great.
Having a set of these is an absolute "NO-BRAINER!" Pretend you are talking about a well known credit card slogan and "Don't leave home without them."
I've used this product for more than 25 years and I've never found anything that can even come close to it's quality. Highly recommend, you won't believe the shine and protective layer it's gives you on any chrome or nickle plated product. Remember, a very small amount goes a long way an is easy to apply. detailing is a snap with Semichrome.
Don't take chances...have a good supply of these on board anytime you go anywhere. You just never know and they don't cost that much. I have several packs at home and at least three packs on board for trips. Easy to store and can save you a lot of headaches if needed.
