really dresses up that boring area. be very careful and make small adjustments so it fits perfect then be even more careful attatching it you only get one chance, i know someone who got his off just a little ( doesn't take much ) and two of his radio preset buttons didn't work they would stick. he spent several hours with a razer blade until he had enough clearance so the buttons would work.
This Trailer Hitch DOES NOT fit the Airbag Models!!
I added these and note an immediate difference. Then I went on a 1,991 km ride. The bike runs smooth, there are no vibrations through the handle bars. Even the navigator (wife) comments that the ride is smooth.
Worked great for about a year. Then it quit and wouldn't even light my brake lights when I hit the brakes. Sent it to Manufacturer and they sent it back saying they tested it and it worked fine. I reinstalled it with same results. Does not work. No further help available from manufacturer. I won't buy another one of thiers, but I might buy another brand. The effect is great for safety (as long as it works.)
Installed about two years ago. Still operating perfectly. Adds lots of extra light for safety and get lots of compliments on looks, too. Pretty easy install with no surprises.
Love the look above the spolier and did add the risers later. If you buy this and have a spoiler, go ahead and get the risers right up front. Carries a load with no issues, good quality even after 2 years of use.
Installed thee about two years ago and they have held up extremely well. No real issues unless you count the minor difficulty in lining up the seat bolts while trying to keep the things from scratching the paint until you get them tightened up. However, once installed, outstanding strength, great looks and the wife loves them.
POOR BAD CROME PITS AND LOOK LOOK BAD
Great product. Looks stock, not cheap or gaudy. Installation was pretty easy. Hardest part was fishing the wires through to my auxilliary fuse box without taking the body apart. Still, didn't take that long. Works great.
I purchased these because if I have them, I'll never have to use them. That's also why I also carry a full complement of tools. Actually, if you never need them, someone, someday in your posse will, and you'll be the hero. WARNING: Once the guys in your gang know you carry these (and tools), you'll be the go-to man when something goes awry. Popularity has it's price.
I mounted mine just left of the battery under the left side cover (I'm lazy and don't want to take off the seat). I've connected six accessories to it and it couldn't be easier. Simple, but quality piece. If you're adding electrical goodies, this is a must.
These are nice bags for the price. The protection is far superior to the bags that came with my helmets. Good helmets are so expensive that this is little investment. In addition, the chin strap ports allow the helmets to be hung on the back of the bike. This is real handy in rainy weather or just added protection.
