The stock stand sunk into the black top daily... this larger foot print and shiny chrome is an absolute must!! Easy install (20 minutes) and it looks great!!
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME PRODUCT!!! Night and day difference in riding comfort. Highly recommend this upgrade to any GW rider!! Easy install and looks great!
Excellent product, easy to mount, very functional. Wife loves the additional support and comfort.

Positive: Nice product, thought out well, easy mount on and off & functional. Great product if not storing helmets in trunk. Negative: The organizer with nothing in it interferes with the helmets, with objects in the pockets the lid will not close properly. |
Looked great, good price, easy to install....but third season chrome started flaking....not happy. Will be contacting Kuryakyn.
I added this to my bike, quite simple. Looked great. Third season the chrome flaked, a real mess. I will be contacting Kuryakyn.
A buddy of mine ordered the stainless steel polished version of these and handed down his black ones to me. The ones I got had relatively few miles on them, but the paint black (powdercoat?) was flaking off pretty badly. The installation was straightforward enough, but I wondered how many ounces of "balancer" moves through the outer ring of these. It can't be more than a couple of ounces, and with them being so close to the hub, I doubted these would be as effective as other methods (Dynabeads, for example). It sounds as if there is just sand in them. However, my initial experience is they do make some difference. I plan to put them through more trials this week and if feel they require more comment, I may be back. I wish they were finished better and hope they work well especially in the "wobble zone" (accelerating and decelerating between 20-35 mph).
I installed these yesterday along with the LED reflector conversion. These are brilliantly bright. Actually blindingly so on brake. I used one above and one below the plate and wired them in so they are on bright all the time. They are so bright that I added a thin strip of red conspicuity tape over the center of the lights but left the edges and end lights uncovered. This created a see-through effect that dimmed the brightest portion of the light a little but left a brilliant halo around them. The end lights are still brilliantly bright and create four points of bright red accent. When braking they flash off and all the other brake lights kick in creating an eyecatching display. These units look great and don't stand out too much. The chrome accent looks terrific. There were no instructions whatsoever but it was easy to figure out and there were connectors included. I spliced them into the reflector conversion wiring so that the Wing harness is untouched. If these hold up over time and work as designed they will certainly stay a 5 star in my book.
I just installed this hitch today on my 2009 Wing', as others have said, the instructions that come with the hitch sucks. I didn't really need the instructions, just by looking at the parts that come with the hitch and looking at the bike, it wasn't too difficult to figure out where the parts bolt to. No need to remove the mufflers or the passenger floorboards. Just leave all the bolts loose and everything aligns pretty good. It does spread the bags apart about 1/8 to 3/16 of an inch making installing the rear fender a bit of a task. All in all, this is a good hitch, I like that it is hidden when you take the ball out.
Just did my first oil change and used the HP4S. Shifting seems much smoother and quieter. I will be using this oil for the life of the bike.
Highly recommended.... a savior !!! My wife is 4'10" and her legs were flapping in the wind with OEM floorboard. Now she is as comfy as can be. Install is easy and straight forward. Look is still shape,, chrome bling.

product is as advertised = "HOT BUY" look is sharp looking and price is reasonable. Install was easy, be careful, take your time cutting dummy fog light covers. Ride in style, gives front end a sexy look appeal. |
