Like i said in an earlier review i have never had to use this item but i,m out of town on my way to neworleans with a friend and he picked up a nail lucky for us we had this conpressor and the plug gun and they worked oerfect held up the rest of the trip so he was able to make it back home instead of buying a new tire right away .
Picked mine up a couple months ago. Installation was easy, took our time about an hour and a half. Had to remove one of the brake calipers on the front which made it easy to drop the tire out. I was amazed at the difference as soon as I took off down the residential street. At high speeds it was even better. It even appears to help riding a cross wind as you don't have to fight as hard to keep the bike level. As others stated, am very interested in seeing how many miles I get out of my tires. Time will tell but IMO, worth the cash for the improved performance handeling.
Solid hitch from Bushtec. Installed in a few hours with my friends help as he has the same hitch and had gone through the install once. I like the cross bars that bolt to the frame. Very solid and secure.
even though my wife and I liked the armrest, i have had problems with them, the first year i had them the left one cracked, and had to be replaced, now after 3 years the right one with the cup holder completely broke off while driving with no passenger. its not repairable. and has ruined my radio antena bracket. they need to have a differant mounting bracket so they are more sturdy for those of us that drive our bikes a lot. when working properly they are great, quality is my issue.
As many others have stated the carpet in the trunk is just a tad big i can live with it. The saddle bag carpets fit perfect. Looks great and should help stops things from banging around when I hit bumps.
Got these for my birthday and put them on a few days ago and they look great. No problems putting them on and hopefully they will stay on. The directions are right, you only get one shot at putting them on so make sure you dry fit them several times because once they go on you are not pulling them off.
Looks outstanding. Dealer wanted $175 to install. Took me over an hour so take a deep breath because drilling holes into a perfectly good trunk lid is daunthing. Remember there are electronics between the two lid pieces so remove the inner piece like the instructions recommend!
Easy install 15 minutes, four acorn nuts to remove, slip in the belly pan retighten and add the removable front piece. Well worth the price and it looks great.
I received these just two days after ordering them, and installed them the same day. I only installed 2 towards the rear of the trunk, so now I have 3 spares in case they mysteriously dissappear! They do act to keep the sides of the trunk from rubbing, and I don't hear the chatter of the trunk lid when driving over small bumps in the road. I hope they break in soon, as the trunk lid is very hard to latch.
Great Combo at a great price. I am not one to give a lot of money away to dealers. Would rather the wife change it and save me money. Least I can do is buy her the proper tools!
Finally! A piece of overpriced steel instead of overpriced plastic! This looks fantastic. I also have the shark tooth inserts that balance it all out. Super accent that goes a long way. Worth the cost.
Excellent product, took about an hour to install. Take your time on installation and make sure your armrest are LEVEL prior to drilling holes in the compartment (lesson learned)one side angled down slightly. The wife loves them and if she is happy all is good.
