Great look and after effect. I was please overall but installation was a some what bit a challenge the instuctions were not pictured very good. The Trucnk was simple. Had one minor problem when it shipped to me the truck aft piece on the end was broken where it screwed into the hole, so I had to use superclue to repair it. The saddlebags installed fine but had to test my own knowledge of electrical to get them to work correctly, One side didn't work and returned the piece, after further review the piece was came on done by the wiringharness by the lights. But great customer service and phone calls to get my new piece to me in plenty of time. great job.
Looks great for te rear of bike, thought it could be alittle larger wider or so but fit on perfectly and easy.
Mine fit fine the outer edges was a little work to align correctly but patience and making sure the look you want is there always helps never rush a job. No problems whatso ever looks very good.
great look, the vents have two notches on each side of the vent get your flathead screwdriver, becareful not to scratch disconnect oneside and will come out with some ease. Put in the new the same way without screwdriver just snaps in. Nice and shiney. My plastic wrapping came off without any problems try not to just rip off the wrapping just ease it off with any of the products and you will not have any problems may save you from breaking anything easy does it.
Great product was fast and easy to install. Maybe alittle diffacult for shorter riders to plant your feet to ground at stops but the overall comfort is great, could be a little longer board with riders with big feet.Gave it a 4 because of big feet but will adjust to them easy enough.
Look great, works for now. There is a good chance the connector might lose contact and if it does I'll just hard wire it on a rainy day. A great added break light. I just added the rubber bumpers on the trunk so that is added pounding to get the trunk shut.
When I bought my bike, these boards were on it. Thought I was going to hate them...I don't. They're actually quite comfortable and easy to use once you get used to them. It took me one trip from Houston to Dallas to get used to them. A little hard to get to the heel shifter if wearing tennis shoes so 4 stars, but in boots, it's perfect.
I appreciate the fact that you can actually clear the bugs off the windshield at a gas station using the free wiper fluid and a standard paper towel. However, road debris i.e. small stones will and does chip the windshield. After a year I have a half a dozen of them and there is really nothing you can do to avoid them. I all likelihood you'll have to replace the unit after a couple of years anyhow. Would you be better off replacing a cheaper unit more often. Just a thought

Received the windshield quickly and well packaged. The product appears to be of very high quality and fit perfectly into position. The instructions were mediocre at best so check out the videos on YouTube for a smoother install. Now about the performance. Up to 40 MPH there seemed to be little difference from stock. Around 50 MPH there was a slight but noticeable difference from stock. From 60 to 80 MPH is where I noticed the most performance difference over stock. The buffeting level changed very little between those speeds and I would describe that as very good performance indeed. My rider describes the difference over stock about the same as I but, as usual, with the rear riding position having slightly more turbulence than the front. Over all, on a scale from 1 to 10 with the stock windshield being a 7 I would rate the Quantum Special Edition a 8.75. I gave it a one star penalty because the extra thickness made the height adjustment much more difficult(but not impossible). I am a set-it and forget-it kind of guy so that is not a big deal for me personally. Plus, I believe the extra thickness might contribute to it's performance because of less edge deflection. I dought there is a windshield made that eliminates all turbulence so don't expect that from this one. Is it worth the extra money over the std. VStream? I don't know but it sure is pretty. | Just installed in the wife's helmet and took it out to test. The amount of noise this headset picked up and transmitted was terrible. Ended up turning volume down so i could hear the radio. I read all the other reviews and thought it would be a good buy. Should have spent another $100 or so and got the J&M Elite. Live and learn! |
These side chrome light are junk
Nice looking but function is a bit awkward for me. I am 5'7" with a 30" inseam. I am constanrly having to lift the boards so I can get my feet down at stops. starting back up if you don't get them down fast enough the first shift is not timed well. they are great on the highway.
