I got the standard version. Installation was not hard. I like having the bars farther back, higher, and closer in. My complaint is that bringing the bars closer together changes the grip angle which I do not like. I was going to try the Kury risers, but I read that they change the angle of the grip too. Still, even with the changed grip angle, they are more comfortable. Low speed turns are much easier. BTW, I'm 5'07", 155lbs, with about a 32" reach.
Bought a set 1 year ago the cord to the right ear snapped within 8 months. I tried to fix them myself but no go. I bought a second replacement set before mt trip across Canada... less than 3 weeks the same thing happened. I dont know if their made to do this or the're just crap. I'm looking for a better sturdier set.

great product works great towed my little trailor for 3K already. installing is not simple and takes a few hours. be mindful of the wire connectors you will have to re-route them. |
took too long to install, white metal construction, poor design.
Recently purchased the cup holder from "barefootwilies.com" as I wasn't aware they were carried here. The price here is a bit better as I paid $22.95 for mine. I could have used 3 hands to install it though. I'm pleased with the quality of the product, so far so good.
We just got back from a 2000 mile ride. Nearly 300 miles of that was in rain. In heavy rain with winds the bottom of the bag soaked through. The rain cover doesn't do much good in heavy rain. but in light rain it seemed to do the job. The size of the bag is perfect and it sticks to the rack like it's glued on. I am looking into using a water proofing spray on the bag to insure a little better protection from the elements. All in all, I am still very pleased with the bag.
update to review I gave in 2/2011. The new light was a smaller size I contacted the Electrical connection and they made the change with no hassles. Good customer service.
I am ready to purchase my third set of Bridgestones. We ride two up (430lb)90% of the time and pull a trailer and the Bridgestone gives us about 12,000 miles on the rear and around 15000+ on the fronts. I run 41 lbs in the rear and 36 lbs in the front tires. use dnya-beads and have no cupping on rear. I have not experanced an wobble with Bridgestone tires on the front. I have a little over 14,000 miles on the front and am starting to hear some growl in the turns. I feel very comfortable with these tires on wet roads.
the bolts that are supplied are not the correct length and will cause the lower fairing tabs to break off. I found this out when I replaced the air filter
Excellent simple install, follow directions, look at them to see the correct spot to fit up in the trunk, drill without removine the power box, plug in the RED connector and bingo, bought it some time ago, didnt need it till I picked up a helmet sena bluetooth headset, now my phone will always be charged, 20 minute max install.
At the 10,000 mile mark I've moved theses tires up from a 1 to a 3. I run 42 psi front/rear and check the pressure daily. They still seem to "fall off" in the corners but once down they track pretty true and I feel confident with them. They are wearing very well with at least another 4-5 thousand miles of tread left (according to my gauge) and show no cupping.....but they wobble and I mean wobble, during deceleration, worse than any tire I've ever run. It's always two hands on the grips. Others have said they have no wobble....so I don't know what to think. If I could be assured that a new set would not wobble I'd buy them in a heartbeat.
First thing I did was burnish the edges of this 2 piece belly pan. To burnish the edges, use a smooth piece of metal such as a screwdriver and just rub it back and forth on the edges of the metal and it rolls them over nicely and now no more sharp edges. We do this in the world of aviation to smooth sharp edges on sheet metal. Now, I installed this item with no problem and it has alot to be desired, as one of the reviewers stated it looked like it was made by a backyard shade treer, in any event it will protect the under side of the bike as stated. Looks ok but don't get to close you will see the poor fit between the front and rear pieces.
