Follow-up to my previous review. I have been in contact with Shorai USA and they appologized profusely for the delay in getting back with me. After a lengthly discussion with a Shorai rep and gooing over my issue (fact finding) they sent me out a new replacement battery and so far (only 1 week now) it is working like a champ and my battery bugs shows the batter at 90% cranking power, much better than the 34% the original battery registered. So, as much as I would like to rate this battery with 5 stars I can (which it probably deserves) I give it 4.5. I will say one more thing about the Shorai Battery. It is well designed and extremely light. I'm now looking forward to many years of maintenance free battery life. I also need to give a shout out to Wing Stuff for calling me, un solicited, and asking if my issue had been handled by Shorai. Yes, Wing Stuff Staff does read our reviews. Not only that but Wing Stuff actually called Shorai on my behalf. What a great company and supporter of us Wingers. I give Wing Stuff 10 Stars for Customer Support. |
| Roll-up nicely in their own bag that easily fits into side saddlebag with other rain gear. Fit well over my steel-toed tactical style riding boots. No problem at all shifting or braking with these on. Feet have never been wet since I purchase these! Would recommend them and purchase them again. |
| This stuff is THE BOMB, been using it since 01 on my 1st GL18. Always wipe down my ride after a cruise and the paint and chrome stay looking like showroom condition. I can count on one hand the number of times I've hand washed my 01 GL18... It bears repeating--This stuff is the BOMB!!!Get SOME or be DUMB, cause the smile on yo face will be hard to replace, so spend some 'yo cash and build up a stash, 'cause you'll never regret it, you can quote me, I said it... |
| Nice add on. Had no issues with install as some have described. Piece fit tight with no gap issues and etc. Would buy again. |
| Work great on my trike, however like some of the other reviews the mounts are lacking in quality. Added some rubber stick on bumpers from Wal-Mart to make the brackets fit tighter. Also, use tie stap through the unused hole to help hold the wings in place. I am giving these wings 4 stars, but just barely because of the poor mount quality. |

Watch these for poor machining ! The first set I got would not swing up without jamming, the replacement set are better, but the long mounting (pivot) pin is too long and sticks out looking rusty (zinc plated only) and un professional. They make you re-use the original spring and ball detent from the bike so the heavier boards tend to flop down on just about any bumps. I am liking thier products less and less. |

I have had to replace my armrests 3 times because of rust since 09. The bike lives under cover or in a garage. Kurayakin's warrenty people tell me that I should not expect more that a year from the finish on a bike that spends time in Florida---- BS.! I spent many years in the plating industry and can tell you that the plating is definetly sub-standard, if you look underneath at the weld joint area, you can see that there is no chrome there, only nickel (look for the yellowish tinge) and nickel does not afford hardly any corrossion resistance. |
| Very easy to install. Being 6'4" it will make the long road trips much easier. Being able to stretch my legs will certainly make it more comfortable. |
