I Mounted this to my 2006 Gold Wing. Installation was pretty straight forward, but I would recommend replacing the circular spacers in the mounting hardware kit with a piece of clear plastic tubing/hose from a hardware store. I glued original spacers as instructed, but they came loose and allowed assembly to shift forward toward bike; the tubing eliminated this movement while providing tension on the safety locking pins. I have also modified this product to permit greater speeds than originally advertised. I fly 2-each 3'x 5' flags when providing escort service with the PGR. Did I mention always use some form of lock-tight on threads of bolts...
Grear boards, easy install, super quality. However, a pain to get at the side-stand. So, I bought the extension as suggested. It is a waste of money. I am surprised that Kuryakyn puts their name on it.Then I saw the special big-foot chrome kick-stand. It is wonderful, HOWEVER, it lacks thoughtful design. It is no easier to get at then the original! A very easy fix for the manufacturer . I was able to modify mine. I used 1/8" polished stainless plate that I cut to the shape of the foot, with an extra 1/2" X 1.5" piece out the pointed end. This I stuck to th bottom of the flat foot, and bent the extension up at 30deg. Over this extension, I forced on a piece of gas-line black hose. With the stand up, the rubber-covered extension now protrudes past the floor-board by about .3", and so is easy to find to kick down. With the stainless steel, you can polish it up to look like chrome. Looks like it belongs there. SO much easier now!
Grate part needed a place to plug the cell phone in. easy to install Had it in Under 30 min

This product is awsome! All bike riders that have seen them . Say they love them and can see them good. No matter what time of day or night. Install was a little tricky! Gerry |

Had these installed a few days ago along with some new 'Stones front and rear. Oh my goodness, what an experience. The ride feels like I'm carving the road with the precision of a scalpel. Just amazing control and almost erie balance through turns. I have to think the dual "gyroscopic effect" if you will, of each unit on both sides of the front wheel assists with this. As you turn, the inside balancer will be compensating somewhat differently than the outside balancer. I don't know all the physics here, but that's how I played it out in my head. I added a fork brace to the hot rod and few months ago and it made a nice splash in ride stability overall. Now adding these balancers have pushed that to a whole new level. The feeling is almost magical...even makes me a little giddy when I feel it. Even road bumps seem damped more than before. In my opinion, these things and a fork brace are must-haves. Everything else seems almost superficial by comparision. |
This things look great with the Kury ISO grips and color rings. Now lets face it....your front tire wont always be perfectly balanced and the weights on the ends of the bars sure help deaden some of that vibration on a long day. So may as well just go ahead and take care of it from the get go and never feel it in the first place....
Nice little accent.
My daughter got me these last year for fathers day and i just got around to putting them on since i had just installed some comfort grips about a week pryor to her surprise. I did need to purchase the weights for the ends .. and got me some colored rings also. Grips feel great even after 300 plus miles and they look good, match a lot the other acc.
I put this on my honda gl 2005 trike, and it looks sweet, and no problems so far
this fairing set is very nice, and a big difference in looks. I definitely recomend it
Recently bought and installed one on my wing and one on my wifes wing, after 200 miles the bracket snapped and the holder and the cup I had in it fell off, fortunatly we were stopped and I was able to catch the container. My wife has stopped using hers. In my opinion a waste of money. If your going to get one buy a better one than this.
