Very easy install. The sharp edges issue that many report was not a problem, for the set I received. However, I did wear mech gloves to be safe. I've ridden ~100 mi since install & have not noticed any appreciable handling issues, or improvements (no severe Xwinds yet).
ordered the 4.5" to replace the 6" ordered when I bought the bike. Much better postion for my legs now (I'm 5'10")! The plating job appears to be better than some of the other Kury products I've purchased. Time & miles will tell if the quality holds up. Anyone want a good condition set of 6" (no bolts or other parts), let me know.
Installed them instructed. I used a little spit to get them in worked great. I suggest you do the rear bumpers (rear of trunk) first they are alot harder to do. Pull slowly like it says, they may slip, if they do move that one to the front. I say this because if the needle nose slip they take a little chunk off. the bumpers inserted at the front of the trunk are very esay to insert. Cant wait to ride storms here in N.E. get out there tomorrow.. it is tight but thats ok by me
I'm hard to impress but these balancers are awsome. It's like having a life time spin balance. My rear tire has about 13000 miles and my front has 17000 and there starting to feel lose in the corners and the back was humming when you lean in the turns. Now with the Centramatic those same tires feel like a new set, cornering feels safe and secure, and the humming is going away. I usually get 15 to 16000 on the back, I can't wait to see if it goes longer. I have Dunlop E3's now, which I like best for milage but the price has jumped up so now I'm going to try Bridgestones.
I had the 2012 goldwing that bent the hitch on the way to wingding 34. They have replaced the hitch free of charge to me with a new reengineered receiver. So if you are going to buy make sure the bottom of the receiver has been reinforced. I want to thank Scott and Rodney for their quick response to resolving this matter.
The system itself is great. And now the "However". Once you get the SMH10 dual headset, and the SM10 Bluetooth stereo audio adapter, you can do whatever EXCEPT communicate on the CB. You can listen but you can not transmit. Per Wingstuff, to be able to talk on the CB, you will need item JMJBLUBHDG06CA01, JMJBLUBHDG06, and two JMHSEBLU629EDROF headsets. Per SENA, the SMH10 headset is NOT compatible with the above mentioned J&M products. The J&M system is over $1K but you have full capability. SENA system, SNH10, SM10, and the 5 Pin Interface DIN Cable For Honda Gold Wing will cost around $450.00. I chose the SENA system minus full CB capability, but the one Star rating remains.
as the other reviews works ok but the cap does not fit or stay on. this is the second one i had to buy with in 2 years and i bought this one in Feb. 2012 and this is starting to do the same as the first one.. static in the head sets. this time i will be going to the OEM Honda line. will spend $ 30.00 more but i did my research and well worth the money.
covers everything of importance and it not even noticable
Forget about installing the Ergo II Footpegs without using the Mini-Arms if your in-seam is 32" or greater. Replacing the standard (and supplied) arms on the ERGO II footpegs with these mini-arms makes a world of difference in comfort. I disliked the long arms that came with the Ergo II footpegs from the moment I installed them. My legs were placed much too high and bent rather uncomfortably around the side fairing. I hardly used the highway pegs because of the unnatural position my legs were forced to assume. With the mini-pegs installed, your legs are in a much more comfortable and natural state when resting on the pegs. Consider ordering them with your Ergo II pegs and you will be a much happier rider.
Tried it for the first time today here in Birmingham....96degrees! The vest is a little heavy when wet, but all I can say is "where has this thing been all my riding life"
great kickstand makes it pop took about 10min to install.Oh dont forget the chrome sping that finishes it off
Installed boards about a week ago work great except for 2 things the set screw loosend up so i put locktite on them no more trouble. Also the holes could be a little smaller for the pins mine are a little sloppy but other than that they work great.
