I bought this hitch about a year ago and at the time I was concerned about its durability, specifically the twisting force caused by the long tongue (see my previous review). I'm happy to report that after towing both a small trailer of about 260 pounds for +/- 800 miles and a camper trailer of about 480 pounds for +/- 1,600 miles, the hitch is still holding and there are no visible signs of any damage or bending. Arguably I haven't done enough towing to make a realistic assessment but in my view, if there were any serious flaws it would've revealed itself by now. Like I said in in my other reviews, this is a great hitch and in my view the best out there and I still put my money on this hitch. But, the jury is still out about its long term durability. |
| I have been running this unit about six months and 12k miles. Here's what I experienced. It worked flawlessly for the first month and then I started seeing delays in the display unit syncing up with the senders. Sometimes it could take half an hour or never. I changed the batteries (which are supposed to last for a year) with no resolution. I then noticed some moisture on the air pressure side of the tire sensors. I blew it out with my mouth several times and that solved the problem. Later I got a can of compressed air you use to clean computer parts, this works great. Every now and then like when adding air to the tire, I blow it out and that keeps it dry. Thereby, if you use liquid tire sealant, forget this type of TPM system. I've seen in other posts that guys have had a problem with rain getting into the display unit. I've been using the silicone sock that comes with it and have had no problems thus far even though it gets rained on regularly. And most importantly, one day I had the front wheel valve stem let loose. I lost all the air in the front tire in about 15 seconds at 50mph. The unit started beeping and flashing immediately just as I was beginning to notice the steering feeling different. I didn't have to guess what was going on. The unit did it's job with no delays and I was able to make a safe stop. Being able to glance down and see the real time pressures in your tires is great reassurance. Touring across Arizona and Utah deserts this past summer I watched tire pressures increase by as much as 12psi from cold measurements at the beginning of the ride. I knew pressures increase but now I know how much. Conclusion: This is the single best accessory I ever purchased for my bike. It is true that the unit is not perfect and I wish the display unit was hard wired. That is why I didn't give it a 5. I rarely give 5's to anything. If and when this unit finally dies or gets stolen, I would get another. |
| Bought the product based on the reviews about reducing the wind buffeting on the passenger. Rode 250 miles this past weekend in various wind conditions, happy to report that my passenger was very happy with the greatly reduced buffeting. She enjoyed the ride much more and the wind noise through the intercom was greatly reduced. Recommend the product if your looking to reducing the wind on your passenger and yourself. |

I bought 2 of these, and lost both flags and pole tops within a month. I did use locktight but because of the design and poor fitment the vibration loosens the screws. I called Big bike parts and they were going to sell me one for more than I paid---gee thanks. Stay away from this product |
| Excellent fit and finish, easy to install, very comfortable on longs rides when the need arises to stretch the legs and/or change weight distribution on the seat. |
| A must if you have more than one accessory. Made installation extra turn signals very easy. |

| Added these to my 2012 GL. It completes the chrome package when dressing the side of the bike. This piece bolts into place and is a direct replacement of the OEM part. This piece is made of metal. Just do it! |
| I bought this set for my 2012 GL. Easy install just remove the black plastic panels, transfer the rubber stops and install the chrome. Being able to now check oil levels without removing panels is priceless. Get it! |
| Easy install on my 2012 GL. No tear down required. Just remove the plastic weld joint cover with a screw driver and install the chrome. The bottom screws in while the upper sticks on. 15 minutes per side. Get it! |

| The OEM windshield on my 08 wing had developed numerous scratches over the years. Really made it difficult to see when riding into the sun. Reportedly they were caused by cleaning, even though I always used a microfiber clothe and cleaner. I purchased the +2 tinted. I am 5'8" and I can't believe how much it cuts back on the wind. Haven't had a passenger on yet to see how that goes. The clarity is also great. The best part is the recommended cleaning material is Windex and paper towels. Recommend this one. |
