I bought this without looking at the reviews. After an hour and a half,it STILL doesn't fit. Tried the jack idea...everything and still will not line up.Will wind up sending it back and having to pay a 10.00 postage or more on this large box for this thing. If these reviews have been here..and the manufacturer knows this..why do they still sell the damn thing! Just plain stupid. |
Wife loves the armrests, but the drink holder is way too big for the standard water bottle. Doesn't take much of a bump to lose your beverage, she's lost several. Good product as long as you keep a hand on your drink most of the time!
I had a similar experience to Tim, below...I've tightened the "make sure you don't over tighten" 3x, if it loosens up again, I'll throw it in the trash. Nothing less awesome than taking a mellow corner and hearing grinding as the kickstand hits the ground. Kuryakyn, please redesign this before someone gets hurt.
I purchased these when I bought my new 'wing July of '13. Chrome still in great shape, no complaints. On a side note, see my gallery pic for the extension I had to put on to make room for my size 15 boots. Added 3" to the heel to accommodate my 13" boots. Worked like a charm!
You can't go wrong with any of Baker Wing products
My hitch is almost 3 years old. The receiver bent the first week and they sent me a new one which was reinforced. You would think that they would have stopped sending out the bad ones by now. Now the hitch itself has bent and the cooler rack drags on any turn. They only warranty this for one year so they said "Good Luck".
I just installed this rack and used it this past week for a trip to Florida. Worked out great and all the holes made using straps very easy !
About two weeks after installing my Utopia backrest I embarked on a nine day, 2,200 mile ride through Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Utah and back to Colorado. The Utopia backrest saved me from the back pain that I normally had on any long rides. This product should be stock equipment on a Goldwing. I highly recommend it!
These are a perfect addition to the bike. They look great, took 20 minutes to install and the wife loves them. Had no issues putting them on. Everything lined up perfect. It’ll take getting some use to feeling them on the back of my legs when my feet are down, but they move out of the way easy enough for stop and go traffic. Perfect for long rides.
Recently purchased an IPhone 5S with on otter box cover. Was concerned about it fitting in the mounting device. Fits great! Able to use touch screen easily. Some additional info: I use the J&M Bluetooth terminal and headsets (best price on wingstuff) and am now able to speak to SIRI through my headset and hear response in my headset. Now also use my iphone for GPS navigation. Great setup!

Well, here's the second part of my experience: buy these for all of your bikes before they double in price! I have one on my 2010 Wing and one on my 87 BMW and rode all 4th of July weekend wet bottom free. They make riding in hot weather more enjoyable knowing you won't get off the bike with your pants sticking to your bum. I felt like I rode in a airconditioned car when I got off my bikes. It also adds some firmness to the seat and I noticed I didn't feel any saddle soreness when I got off of them. A perfect product that does what it is supposed to, for a nice price. Some have said they bought two and put one on their backrest. If you do that it would be the total package. Keep in mind this was a 3 day test and not an 'across the USA through rain and snow' test. In cooler weather, I would take them off as they flow too much air and things could get a little chilly.
