Works as expected. Easy to slip on and will save the dash for scratches with the plastic on plastic contact.
I ordered these for my 2012. It took several weeks for the order to be filled as Wingstuff was out of stock. No fault of their's. When it arrived and I saw the packaging, I though I accidentally ordered and Apple iPhone by accident. The packaging was Apple-esque. Very impressive. Usually Electrical Connection items are package in the most basic of plastic zip lock baggies. The quality didn't stop at the packaging. Having used automotive HID light sets on my wing in the past, I immediately got the sense that this kit was made specifically for the Wing. No modifying the boot or ill-fitting light bulbs with this kit. The quality of materials and the fit and finish is astounding. The install was very easy and straight forward and isn't much different than replacing the regular OEM bulbs. The LED bulbs give a near perfect light pattern of clean, crisp White light. The voltage regulator (ballast) are very small and easy to locate and mount behind the fairing or anywhere near the headlights. The heat sinks will fit outside of the rubber boot. This kit comes with everything you need for a successful install.
I didn't order these at first. It wasn't until I had already installed the Grips, Throttle master and weights that I noticed the empty recess for the Accent Ring. After ordering these and installing them, it really made a difference against the black colored grips.
Don't even think of NOT using these. The extra weight on the ends of the bars truly makes a difference. The come with the long screws to complete the installation. Use a medium strength Loc Tite (Blue).
I added these to my 2012 to replace the foam grips I installed shortly after buying the bike. I had my concerns about these grips properly transferring the heat from the OEM grips, but they do a great job at transferring the heat to my hands. The installation was easy. I suggest using Windex liberally when sliding these grips over the OEM grips. The Windex will remain wet long enough for you to position the grips. The instructions suggest you wait a couple of hours after installing these before operating the motorcycle. This is to insure the new grips are dry and will not slide during operation, but you can shorten this time by using a heat gun after installation is complete to dry the Windex solution. I installed these with the Throttle master and colored rings to complete the look and comfort. The Grips and throttle master all come with the short and long screws needed for the install. Use a medium strength Lock tight (blue) on the screws.

This was an easy install. Had to drill new holes and paint the aluminum bracket black, but it did come with the necessary nuts & bolts to finish the install. Real easy to run the wires up to the rear center run light (separate job converting the factory center brake only light into a run/brake) and splice in. this looks VERY good. |
i purchased these at the Lone Star Rally in Galveston Texas. They definitely block the hot and cold air.
Really nice addition to front of trike. Added turn signal lighting is nice. Nice fit.

Had these installed recently on my 2007GW1800 trike as shown in the picture. Looks nice. Brightness is between the low beam and high beam. They are not as bright I was expecting and hoping for longer distance focused beam. They get really hot. Price may not be bad if you install them yourself, but after product cost and installation I did not see additional benefit. |
Nice but mounting bracket not for GL 1800 2nd Gen without some modification.Holes don't match up .Had to relocate mounting bracket holes. Also no mounting bracket bolts an nuts came with kit just bolts an nuts for attaching flap to bracket.
I use this all the time for maintenance - it really did pay for itself the first time I used it - you won't be disappointed if you get this - I would buy it again in a heartbeat!!!! I would give it 6 Stars if I could!!!!
I recently added these to my 2012 with a custom Corbin seat and together, the comfort llevel can't be beat. My wife immediately felt more comfort with somewhere to rest her arms. It also made her feel more attached to the bike by adding a feel of added stability.Installation was easy as long as you don't mind drilling holes in your baby. If you have a CB (dual antennas), the install will be much easier because the steps for left/right are exactly the same. The only downside is you lose a little space in your rear storage pockets due to the install required brackets that are placed inside each pocket. The storage pockets are still very useable. The cupholder makes it all worth it.
